Part of a combat log I was able to salvage through screen shots ofa Master Brawler/Master Pikeman Vs. Teras Kasi Master/Artisan duel:

(I don't mean to be bashing TKM, this profession just happened to be the one I caught screenshot combat log and also the one I know best other than Pikeman {Former TK before pathetic BANDWAGONEERS})

Pikeman miss: 13 out of exactly 31 (not counting the instance TKM dodged)swings.... 41.9% misses. *Cough* MASTER Pikeman/MASTER BRAWLER *Cough*

My test duels rules are no KD/Dizzy, no armor, no buffs/Powerboost, no drugs, no foods, no consumable enhancements of any kind (Including for weapons), andno healing....straight up fights.

Notice theconsistency of the auto attack damage compared to the TKM- In this battle the lowest damage dealt through autoattack for Master Pikeman/Master Brawleris 10 and highest is 50...which is a 40 damage variation. Compared to a Masterunarmed individual's auto attacks...lowest 67 and highest 69..........his lowest damage is significantly higher thanmy highest attack. The TKM specials cost LESS than Pikeman and do MORE damage then Pikeman (Example, PolearmHit3 has x3 modifier - Compare to TK/HS/Fencer x4 modifier for their Hit3 moves{?confirm?})

My LVA is 137-475 damage, AP2, 4.4 speed, 42.3% wound, -54 @ ALL ranges, 80+/60ish/40ish, which I believe is of slightly above average quality. (Used other weapons too including doubleDoT lance and Vibro Lance (VL) but don't remember stats as well.

I actually have more pictures of same TKM with same rules and under same environment using UAH3/Spitting Rawl for 261+ damage....I would post but im too tired.......

/language Bounty Hunter: I use more Skill Points than the TKM I dueled and I am a Master ofTWO CUMMULATIVE COMBAT professions yet I get slapped around and laughed at and generally beaten down effortlessly......even against opponents who invest half or less thanthe Skill Points than Iused forCombat.

Wow, very nice log. Thanks for that - it really shows some inequity. Like you said, it seems like your autoattack was hitting consistently lower than his...I suspect that is Damage Mitigation coming back tohauntus. I also like how you very quickly came to "You don't have enough pool points to do that!" Hehe.

VERY biased log. I'm the first to agree pikeman needs more dmg but this does not really show anything.

TKM one of their abilities is highest toughness (toughness translate into resistance). Plus you have dmg mitigation against you here.

If you want a good comparison of autoattack dmg you need to find a diff target, something that is going to have equal resistances to both of you.

auto-attack against auto-attack really just means jack anyway. One of the pikeman's serious issues is that their specials have such crappy multipliers. 2.5 dmg on novice hit2. Fencers get 3.5. There is no point in the weapons doing more dmg if all they have to do isa special and they equal the dmg pike puts out and swing 3x as fast.

Sorry, but you don't get these logs from auto-attacking. You were using some kind of special move at the top that you didn't have the pts for. The bottom one is LegHit3 I believe, again not auto-attacking.

Not to try to diminish your thoughts or point but special moves cost ham. I don't use specials at all and I'm beating TKM's around 2/3 of the time.

Ham costs really arent that bad for pikeman if you use food. Tatooine sunburn + ryschate . .. . you can spam specials all day.

for pvp muon + tatooine sunburn. If you last 10 minutes for the downer to hit you're doing really well =P.

So, what you are saying:

Pikeman are worthless as Damage Mitigation is based on the range of damage and our weapons have the greatest damage range, STRIKE ONE.

Pikeman are worthless as we have the least amount of weapon realted toughness, i.e. polearm toughness, STRIKE TWO.

Pikeman are worthless as we dont have the X4 modifier like all the other melee professions do, we get X3 instead, STRIKE THREE.

Pikeman are worthless as we are tied with Swordsman as having the worst melee and ranged defense compared to other elite melee professions. STRIKE FOUR.

Pikeman are worthless as we have the worst Accuracy mods on our weapons, negative numbers for our two best. STRIKE FIVE.

good thing this isnt base ball and it's SWG instead.

HAM costs aren't bad for anyone if you use food. Even if you use sunburns, your action goes down quickly. (sunburns don't boost quickness or focus, it's much better to use 2x Rhyscate and Breath of Heaven, both boost strength, quickness and focus) Pikemen have some of the worst HAM costs of any class, equal to Carbineer in general.

Sorry I found this log at the top of the combat spam, meaning if I did anything more it would've deleted more and more so this is actually almost in the beginning of the fight, after I stunned and did couple other things, lol.
