Hey I may be a rifleman, but **edit** you guys who play pikemen are nuts, ahahahaha.

- As I see it, Sony has until July 31st 2004 to pull content, balance and most importantly "fun" out of a hat and into the game for me. I guess I can list "buying a non-refundable year's subscription" down as one of the dumbest decisions made in my life. Congradulations SoE, you took 200 bucks from me. -

i think playing the rarer classes is fun, i mean sure we are gimped but its fun for some of us regardless. whats fun for one person is stupid to another thats why the sheer selection of professions makes the game great. I tried (and hated, commando, rifleman, pistoleer, weaponsmith) and i find pikeman fun. There are people who love the other professions so you really shouldnt be suprised that some people like pikeman.

Nice post bro. Pikeman is really fun. Earlier today I was in Anchorhead and ran into a few other pikeman. We had a little pikeman fight club and I was beat down a few times, but it was awesome. Right now as a pikeman with one box I am stronger than I was at pistoleer with 3 boxes, and I am allowed to wear my light blue loin cloth because pikeman are helluva tough.

I actually chose Pike because it seemed there weren't many around and I like going the less traveled path. In fact I have had a few people ingame say "Wow-a pikeman-don't see many of you around". Yesterday I had a stranger add me to his friends list so he could mail me and get pike trained. I told him because of our rareness that was a good idea since I have had to pay for most of mine.

I dont know why i picked pikeman, but from my first day(3 days after launch)a wooden staff foud it's way into my hands and thats been that. As i went up the line nerf after nerf hit and our numbers dwindled but i just enjoyed it more and more (the class, not the nerfs).

Having very few pikeman is not the reason i am one - I didn't pick it cause it was rare i picked it before it was rare. But the nice thing is that all the pikemen left now and starting now know what theyre geting into - we have absoluteley no powergamers in our class and i LOVE that. I love knowing that if i see a pikeman i see a friend. Which is why i started putting then on a list after a while and am now sending around letters to let them all now of each other - I strongly encourage this to people on other servers.

I had no clue that there were 2 other masters and 17 (still growing) other Pikemen around on radiant. It's thru unity that we will have more fun - fun is not based on being able to beat people up ( that getts boring after you get master and can't advance any more)- its based on having a good time with peopleyou like - and i haven't run into another Pikeman (or woman, be it rare) that i didn't like.

Sorry, but ranged combat is in this game is tritefully dull.

there is just something about swinging a 6' long pole around that gets my jollies off. I knewI didnt want to be ranged whenI picked up the game a day after its release. and having creatures as pets and to fight alongside also appealed to me (CH/pike since day 1). Thats what I've been, thats what I will be (till that FSCS unlocks).

I still wish I had a RCS that was much better in the damage department. LVA's are alright but I think a RCS looks much cooler. I still carry my first one around for looks.

I am another holocron victim, though if I like it I may stick with it until I am told to master a different brawler class.
