Hey there all,

Like most of you, I am trying to get my silent before the change to the unlocking method, whenever that is.

I think the best method for this would be to setup a macro. So, I as a novice pikeman at 1-0-0-1 am looking for the most effective macro.

if anyone has any suggestions for a good macro that will /loot or harvest hide, please post here.

If your looking for a macro to make fighting easier with a pikeman, it ain't gonna happen. Our accuracy and ham costs are way to poor to try and run combat macros. I'm afraid you'll have to take your fights one step at a time.

If you're looking to make a macro so you can afk fight/loot ... go to hell. Afk jerkoffs are whats bringing this game down.

Does he simply want a /loot and a /harvest bone macro.......or does he want those tied in with a pikemen macro....

If thats the case that he isn't an evil grinder..then you should all be sad lol

This is my macro I use quite often.

Lets see if I can recall it ..

/attack;

/pause 0;

/attack;

/pause 0;

/g HELP! Need a heal!

/g Crap, I'm going to kill my self with using a special, heal plz.

"You have been incapacitated"

"You have been slain."

/say Can anyone REZZ?

/g Ok going!

"Your items decay"

/auto drive to cantina to heal battle fatigue

/g Yes, I've cloned, I'll be right there after I insure my items again.

/ui action toolbarSlot08;

IMPORTANT

Do not put a number after pause leave it at 0, we pause LONG enough inbetween misses. Heaven forbid we actually hit the mob!

Also the last like, /ui action toolbarSlot08;, its not important like other macro's for dancing and such. No fear! It will repeat it self without the line in tact.

I have no doubt this macro will work for you! It has time and time again for myself. Enjoy!

On another note... Pikeman really isn't that bad if you have a ton of patience and a good sense of humor!

They should have a disclaimer like they do on a pack of cigarettes about smoking during pregnancy.. However in this case it should read!

CAUTION if you are a PIKEMAN/WOMAN: Do not log into play if your having a bad day, can progress into depression or drive you back to pacman!

Hehehe this is the most fun "I-am-a-macroing-lamer-and-i-am-too-sad-to-even-make-my-own" thread i have seen around.

God i love being a pikeman (still a sad one at that)...

It seems we are one of the few profession communities that actually cares about playing it the hard way... and god knows that Pikeman Mastery is about the hardest way to go.

For all of u that have already gained the master's... Hats off and i will honored to join your ranks somewhere next year...

And for the starter of this thread... GET A LIFE!

Toodlees yer macro rocks... have it in 5 slots of my toolbar right now so i can grind it endlessly...

sorry dude i hate to break it to you pikeman is not that hard when compared to several of the crafting professions...and i am also curious as to why people are saying its so hard i easily hit about 200-300k per doc buff period of time just killing stuff on dantooine...it feels just like pistoleer or anything of that nature without the ranged part...please don't flame me...if it is hard and really is i am not to the lvl where it has gotten that way yet and would like to know when it gets harder than any other crafting profession...myabe its the fact that i don't mind doing stuff that takes time and effort i don't know...

as to the person asking for the macro...just use the macro called harvest hide...type in /harvest hide and bam...HA!...as for your pikeman macro i am going to have to agree with everyone who has already posted...macroing is lame whether it be crafting or fighting...and as a pikeman you will not get away with using one...so just go grind it out...and publish 6 is feb 12th which means publish 7(i believe the one they are changing the way you become a jedi)will be a ways off...so take a deep breath and don't get discouraged...if you are on bria msg kaidoh(my char) and he will gladly help you with training or anything else you need...

Crafting professions are not hard. They are boring. They are tedious. They lack any kind of fun. They are by no stretch of anyones imagination hard.

Sorry dude but crafting takes no strategy, no buffs,no armor,no spice, no skill, no trips to the clone facility/med center, no decay on your items when you die all the time and no grouping with others just to try to get some halfway decent xp.

It only takes a tool, a crafting station and some resources.

Ah, that would make a bit of sense... for grinding, I guess (didn't grind either profession, myself). As for the best armor, equipment, etc... I liken that to having to check literally everywhere for the best ingredients (and Endorian insects hurt, by the way - back to the cloning to cook statment :smile). Only benefit is, I don't have to continually go out and search for the best weapons and armor every 5-7 days.
