As a master rifleman, I would know if anyone has some good pvp tips?

In battles rifleman rules, in 1 on 1 situations, I usually get screwed, mostly becouse of eyeshot spamming which I really dont know what to do about, and I have a question, how come the class that would need KD the most (to keep mobs from getting in melee range) are the only class without it? something to ask the devs maybe?

I would say, always have a moun gold ready. Especially if its a large fight. If you are just picking some imps/rebels outside a city then Iwould say always consume a breath of heaven before firing anything. You dont wanna kill yourself too fast.

Avoid city fights, like fights in Anchorhead, unless you can be outside shooting in. Even tho you are fast it still sucks missing 2/3 shots.

Personally I dont wear armor. It could be an idea to get a PSG because they havent got any encumbrances.

Thats what I just could think of.

i got a 71% helmet. That stops eye shot like crazy untill they see that its not working and whip out their light cannons, then im dead.

With a composite helmet you can choose from either being killed by him or being killed by yourself.

Just avoid the eyeshot spammers. Riflemen are weak solo pvpers, but they give group pvp some serious punch. Yesterday I went with a CM/Doctor buddy to anchorhead.
Our DBs: 40+
Their DBs: 5

I love pvp with my master rifleman. I didnt want to participate in PvP till i mastered. I am glad I waited. I am not that experianced but have already racked up close to 20 kills. how u ask? In a group situation rifle rulez.

Stay back from the melee crowd and AOE till you drop...LOL I use strafe2 and flushing2. when they die...i am ready with snipershot for the long distance DB. I use muon gold, breath of heaven to boost mind before i engage. when downer hits...i eat more food to shorten my down time.

IMPS!!! Its whats for dinner.

Like the posters before me have said, riflemen only truly shine in group combat. Solo you can do ok, but nothing like the damage you can do in a decent group. I think that is just the price you pay forbeing good in group combat.

About the knockdown thing, I think giving AE dizzy, a 5x AE attack, mind damage, mind bleed, AP3 (on some servers) and knockdown to the same class would be going a bit far for the skillpoints we use.

An option you may want to look at is going up the carbine tree just as far as knockdown, if you combine that with the rifleman dizzy you should start winning a LOT more solo fights.

As for fighting eyeshot I've tried all of the following and had some success with most of them.

1.) Unless they are charging in for the LLC kill don't run around alot, with the blind you'll missa lotwhich only helps the BH. (May change when the TC changes come into play.)

2.) Get a good composite helmet, try to find at least 50% resist to acid.

3.) Try andmigrate your mind to1000 or higher.

4.) This one is for when they fix buffs;Try to getyour focus above 1200 after armour penalties, with focus this highyou can use a laser rifle with a very low mind cost.

5.) If they are wearing a composite helmet you might want to try a Jawa Ion Rifle, it does stun damage which will go right through a lot of composite.

6.) If they are wearing no body armour and have low health (600-800) a DLT20a + strafeshot2 might be your best bet.

7.) If you know you're going to die, try and stick a mind bleed on them.

There is no way to always beat an eyeshot BH, if they're smart they will get you quite often, but I guess that was the idea behind eyeshot.

When I was 1 v 1 with BH, I used Strafe2. The reason is Strafe2 has higher dmg over headshot3 and it used less mind pool. Another advantage is, Strafe2 did random dmg to the enemy while headshot3 only did dmg to the mind. Since BH eyeshot uses Action pool. Strafe2 will have a higher chance of winnning as compare to headshot3.

I do use mourn gold if I'm going for big battle. With mourn gold and 32% mind + 16 speed or 16 min dmg, I can fire non-stop w/o dropping my mind pool.

Against other profession, I will use Mindshot2 + Headshot3, sometimes I will just use Strafe2.

I too, only rely on PSG as I found that I died more often wearing armor then w/o wearing any. Plus I'm wearing Bio-Clothing with defence against bleeding and Clothing with SEA that add bounes to my rifle/defence skill. Armor SEA is still bugged atm.

I have also drop all my CH + Scout and goes for Doc profession. My Doc profession stopped at 2/2/4/4. The allow me to cure poison, buff and able to use up till enhance D buff. Actually, 2/2/3/4 is enough, just that I left 2 pts and not sure where to spend it With that, I shift all my stats to my Mind/Focus/Willpower as I was able to buff my health/action and their secondary stats.

Can't edit the post.

I'm using PU fo 32% Mind + 16% speed or 16% min dmg.

I only use T21 and Jawa Ion Rifle for PvP.

Well as a 2/2/1/1 rifleman (I don't have a lot of time) my strategy is RUN AWAY!

When I do get in a solo situation I stack MS2&1, then get as many (if any) HS3 off as possible.

In group situations I use conceal shot, as it gives me the best damage I've seen so far, besides HS3, but I like to be consistant with the group.

Against a BH, I ask where they would like to insert it, but I'd rather go against a BH than a commando. I don't feal like getting lit up by their **edit** matchsticks or a"acid spraying guns of some kind". 2.5x is a pain.

Ditto here MS2, MS1, followed by headshots and if I am lucky (or still alive), snipershot.
