I prefer to PvP solo or in very small groups (2-3). We use TS to coordinate our actions.

I use T21 on most targets with HS2(until HS3 is fixed in amount HAM/dmg), Jawa Ion Rifle on composite wearers and my Ubar l33t Laser Rifle with low HAM on larger groups. From my experience I advise you to stay away from ĺarger groups because they drag attention of enemy zerg. When they engage with enemy you can close at max range and help them, but remain carefull and watch out for enemy reinforcements. Even if it seems you have whole enemy population on planetagainst you, there seems to be still more of them coming to you from behind.

As for peoples who say we are not snipers - we are - I can pickup my mark in middle of anchorhead and vanish before they realise what is happening.

Burst running helps if you arent master and you happen to be fighting a ranged combat class.

Seflyn's post is right on the money on all things.

I will say, however, that i'm Master Rifle/Master Mark, and Human with 750,400,400 health, same for action, and 1000, 700, 600 mind (700 focus) -give or take 50 points on focus/mind -and i really don't fear anyone 1 on 1, although BH's are a tough kill. I go into bestine as an overt rebel all the time and don't often die until i get ganked by either creature pets (not faction pets, they go down like tracy lords), or a couple elite imps at a time. although a lot of the time i find i can actually take 2 no problem. (especially if they stand close together! lol)

the real trick is> use muon gold if up against multiple enemies or don't have time to regen between fights, put 33%maxdmg/16%mind powerups on your T21 and Jawa, (with dmg slices of course), use Strafe2 against most, HS2/3 against weak minds (i rarely use the HS), and ALWAYS ALWAYS stay outside 30m. if you engage at 50-60m with a T21, you can almost be garaunteed victory. (change that to 45-50m with a jawa)

Note> i am master marksman as well, and don't wear armor, though i have been experimenting with it a little bit. at the moment i'm migrating to all mind, no Health and action, and going up doctor for buffs. not sure if i will be able to keep Master Marksman though i'd like to as it does make a difference in speed.

I think i will for a while - but i won't have ANY scout skills. heh

ifyou team upwith a master pistoleer/carbineer - something of a close range "tank" to distract ppl- you will do ungodly amounts of dmg.

Hey I know that swordsmen aren't exactly the best in pvp atm. I was aware of that when I took up this profession. Maybe I could get some tips to even the scales a little abit, as in equipment, attacks, etc. that could give me a little edge in melee combat. Your help is apreciated..

if you can dizzy/kd do so. keep the target intimidated at all times, and spam headhit3 with a scythe if you have one. also, if you need to heal (like against fencers) warcry, peace out before you attack them again, then heal up quickly.

scythes arent the way to go. power hammers are because they deal blast damage instead of kinetic. scythes maybe around 2.0 300+ damage but my power hammer is 3.5 573 powered up for speed and i can steal deal 800+ through 77% comp for blast. plus most players wont have 80% to blast but almost everyone has it for kinetic, hell you could just wear a ubeese helm and get hardly any ham penaltys to combat that. tkm and master brawler go well. kd/dizzy and they hardly stand a chance. also you get lunge 2 and intimidate 2 from master brawler with helps breach the gap for range weapons. stun armor is a mustnow a days and a shield gen. i perfer just stund chest/helm and shield gen to pvp. i only wear my full comp suit if i have dancer/musican buffs. with any meele use burst fun to close the gap on those that are range and tryign to run then kd when close and have at it. also if you're pure heavy swords area hit 3 posture changes and dizzys. hmm i think thats all i can think of at the moment.

Thats 800 before the armor kicks in. Master Brawler and some medic. Use the fencer KD dizzy and some Speed AA's, maybe some accuracy if you can afford it, ick up a big hammie and swing away.

Can't stress how important having Center of Being on ALWAYS. Just had a duel with a master pistoleer that I counterattacked 7times in a row with CoB on. I'd guess maybe half his attacks actually landed, and I just have Doc/MSwords, so I'm not stacking any melee and only have a +9counterattack SEA.

Intimidate is huge too, and always try to land a dizzy with 2handed3. If your opponent is dizzy they can't burst away. Apply bleeds, use HeadHit3 as your main attack. If you can locate a good Accurate PH, yes they can be made, then use that against ranged. Use a Scythe against other melee due to mitigation. Make use of Warcry if you're taking too much damage for a little rest during battle.

Also, NEVER chase down a ranged person unless you are bursting they aren't. A trick that seems to work a lot is act as though you are losing the battle and run away, when the person gives chase they will usually use follow, turn on burst run and hit follow on them once they are giving chase to you. By the time their client catches up you'll be within range.

Just know where you can fight and where you can't, and don't try to force yourself in situations where you know you'll lose, IE open area battles or uphill battles without scout.

well PVP wise i find swordman to be the turets and atst destroyer but you can hit once per sec if you maxx speed , but i have also master bralwer and it give you a +5 to speed and you also get lunge 2 with i find great , now i tend to use fencer if attacked but i find if i can lunge 2 then dizzy woth fencer then i switch to sword and hit there mind while there on the ground , this has worked quite well for me , but i find swordman to be slow with speed attachments in pvp but if you have brawler are master it can work quite well but i can solo ATST no problem and killed about 5 this weekend alone with a doc throwing heals on me every os often

So to conclude the tips so far?

Use intimidate (what excactly does this do? )

Lounge1 if they try to run away

hit3 will dizzy and keep em from bursting (How often dos this attack dizzy? All the time?)

Try to find speed tapes or use speed powerups

what more can be added to this list?

Question: How do you guys succesfull start a fight in PvP?

I normally go for sweep2, indimidate, then spam headhit3... is this the best way to go about it?
