Ok would a speed capped pikeman with good weapons (1k and dots) be good vs jedi... becasue they have no mitigation i would think they would be awsome.. well are we any good???

Depends on 2 things:

1. the level of Jedi.

2. Does the Pikeman a high level Mindfire DOT? If so, Pikeman > Jedi.

My friend can pwn a jedi knight with high mind dot's ... its funny to watch him beat a jedi with pikeman skills.

We have irraticated the novice stances line DOT whores and have stepped into future. But now we have a new threat.. Swordsmen using us for defense! Will it ever be over!?!?

just make sure the jedi you decide to pick on doesnt have healer 4004

I've killed jedi with 4004 healer, just need to keep them on the ground by spamming dizzy. I prefer area 2 so I can get everyone around them with a Mind/Action fire =)

I know, I have one of each

Forget the DOTs, if you're going to use pike against Jedi I strongly suggest 1k+ LVA, speed cap and at least 2000 medic.

If however you're just looking for a profession to kick a Jedi's ass and were wondering if this is the ideal one - it aint. Go for thefencerdefense trees withmaster swords,speed cap and acklay hammer. It's sad how fast capped 2h speed kills Jedi sometimes

I disagree Katalisha, A strong poison DOT takes lots of tries to heal as the Poison heal doesn't work that well, and if you stack on 2 fires and can keep them from water they are dead. Only Master Healers can heal fire and it takes a while, not to mention total heal self uses huge amounts of force. I know DOTs > TKM for the Jedi I fight which are usually Knights, if you DOT them you won't lose, as they'll either die or run away looking for water.

Dark Jedi vs me usually end up with a draw or me being the winner. They simply run out of force powers when they have force armor 2 up, or if they dont, they take WAY too much damage from my lva.

Yea dude you're right in some respects, but I think the guy just wants to kill Jedi, and TK/Fencer or even Capped 2h speed is a much more efficient way of doing it... The only way fire dots are realistically going to kill a master healer is if you can keep a dizzy kd on them and th DOT itself is strong enough to do significant damage before they get up - I know for a fact you have a 500 mind poison so you're an exception.

I've yet to have J'ai killed with DOTs, put it that way... His PvP deaths have always been to other Jedi, Stacked Fencers with Investigation 3 , or Bounty Hunters with 10 TEFing friends...The primary part of histempate is Master Healer, Master Defender, LS 0404... (Yea, no Master LS, no force run, no meditate - real conformist me )

Now I dare say if Morri suddenly switched servers and came after meI might be in trouble, but Morri's collection of DOTs is fierce lol...

I was a Pikeman/BH..... soloed all missions.... only lost to 2 jedis.....

1250 LVA no dots.

guys guys dont use mind dots vs a jedi,use it against normal players...

vs a jedi a good health poison and health fire will do the work...

i have killed several jedis like this

btw my poison on health is xceptional 709 str

i stick a 300 fire health and i spam with a 11xx dmg lva

polearm hit3 and it gets not more then 10 seconds to kill a jedi

a btw pikeman and all his templates is FOTM
