I would like to start off by saying this is not a cry to nerf any other class just a cry to fix the one class that is completely overlooked and in the need of the most help! Today after months of moderate play I finally reached master pikeman...woot! So anyway I was sitting at the starport waiting 9 minutes to get where i was going(don't even get me started on that subject) and I ran into a guy who wanted to have a friendly duel, so i thought cool lets do it. This guy is a tka 0022 so im thinking i can win this...right?

The battle ensues....im completely buffed about 2k on all stats we agreed not to use KD so I start off with a leg hit 3....miss, he hits me for about 300(by the way he is not buffed) so i move to polearm hit 3....miss...he hits me for about 250.....polearm hit 3....miss(by the way he is of course wearing no armor)...he hits for 400....polearm hit 3....miss...he hits for another 300....polearm hit 3....miss...how many misses is that? 3 more polearm hit 3's all misses while he hits me 3 more times...another polearm hit 3....YES! I hit with the second most powerful melee hit in the game.....hes not buffed, no armor and he is only 0022 tka...i regularly do 2k to 4k points of dmg against ancient bull rancors so this guy is so toast right? Wrong! 187 dmg? MY MOST POWERFUL ATTACK DID LESS THAN THE LEAST AMOUNT OF DMG HE DID TO ME!

I got about 4 more swinging misses in before he finished me. Now i have about 8million more exp than he does and he slaughtered me...never missed and i hit once out of 13 swings.

Later on in the night I ran into a guy that was all excited cause he just became a novice tka...no skills...he wants to duel to check out his couple new special...he say any one want to duel so i can check out my new skill? So I say I would but you would kick my butt! He is laughing out loud and i quote "your a master I just started that would never happen" I'm thinking thats true so okay lets do it! I'm proud to say that it was close and highly contested battle(by the way im still buffed he is not no armor) but in the end the master pikeman one the day! Oh heck who am i fooling I GOT MY BUTT KICKED BY A GUY THAT JUST BECAME A NOVICE! Now I have all kinds of curses and obscenities I would love to throw out right now but I wont.

The plain and simple truth is that this is just wrong! a fully buffed master pikeman cant beat a non buffed tka novcie noobie? 13 swings and one hit? The other guy literally never missing? Lets see in real life you punch at me while im holding a 6 foot long axe that i know how to use with unerring ability...WOW you no longer have an arm....

To the devs

1. Our accuracy needs to be improved

2. Our defense should be greater than any melee class in the game after all we are holding a 6 foot long weapon.

3. Our knockdown should work better than any class in the game after all we are using a 6 foot long weapon

4. the power hammer should not be the most powerful melee weapon in the game or at the very least it should be equal with a long vibro axe

5 No one should ever be able to puch me for more damage with a weaker special attack than I can hit with my most powerful attack with an axe

Now before any of you start saying it is just because tka are to powerful I would like it to be known that this happens with every fighting profession i come across it is not just TKA!

PLEASE DEVS HEAR OUR PLEA!

ur killin urself there, u could have won that fight easily by:

1. hit center of being when u start the duel

2. just use regular attack til he dies

i know u wanna bust out ur specials and do like a TKA does and spam the move over and over, but with the HAM costs on that, if ur secondaries arent buffed, ur gonna die alot faster

I doubt COB would do much difference since BLOCK is not working. Or you havent noticed that yet?

You still take the hit when you block, and your HAM still goes down.

So much for having 115 block mods.

The only advice i would give in that case would b for him to use a regualr lance instead of his VLA

I use that on duels if my oponent has no armour, this way i can use 1 or 2 more specials before i kill myself.

I have some NICE lance crafted by the best bladesmith in kettermoor (the great andover) with a 30% dmg slice and that baby is doing 39-356 dmg for a lot less HAM than my LVA or VL.

So next time you might wanna try that, at least you wont miss as much

First off Pikeman is not all that bad, i was able to master it at my own pace and i must say its a very cool skill, i had a killer time working up to master but anyway i wanted to share some info, Food has been fixed and if you havent talked to your local chef you really need too fast. below i have listed items that will help you and keep you spaming specials until ur enemy is on the group dead and confused on how a pikeman just opend a can of wup A$$ on him or her, If you juice up right before a duel your all set, just Kd and dizzy the bastid or you can skip the kd and dizzy then use ur best moves over and over, iv been soloing blurrg on endor so i know this works, tis saved my ass so many times that i now buy both items by th crate..

hehe he was all buffed, theres little food could do for him.

Bsides, if the tka used foods as well, then it would b just as bad (not that they really need that)

If we can only beat tka IF weuse skills from other classes (food as you mentioned), then theres something wrong. I mean, the tka guy doesnt even need an weaponsmith, he can just go out killing

i agree that pike is unbalanced i was just giving some tips to help with the pain i was able to beat a tk with 1/1/3/3 uding food and Kd then dizzy, i know i will never beat a master tk nor do i think we ever should but it would be nice to put up a better fight the food is good for all around i dont PVP much, i use food before i hit a lair or a mob so i can open up strong and not kill myself doing specials

my whole point was the simple fact that what happened should NEVER have happened no matter if i did special or just hacked away without specials when i hit him for less than he was hitting me? TWICE? It is just not right and yes i was completely buffed he was not! I would like to also point out that I am a pikeman not a master brawler so i dont get the little special cry the keeps the opponent from attacking and i should not have to be to survive in pvp Fully buffed master pikeman vs tka novice without a single skill should ALWAYS equal instant death for the tka not the master pikeman.....anyway im out
