Publish 9 Notes:
There have been several inquiries as to the expected time of the combat balance. We hope this will tide you over. We are as excited about it as we are about the combat balance. We hope this publish will help even out the in game playing field.

Rifleman: Due to the fact that Rifle speed is so slow, we are granting all Marksman +100 speed at Rifles 1. The Rifle Speed hard-cap will also be lowered to .5 because you are only moving your index finger. Also, because all rifles are basically the same, all certifications will come at Novice Marksman.
Because of the vast range of damage types in the Real World (RL), we will be adding 8 new rifles! Damage on these will include: Energy, Stun, Heat, Super Heat (yes, a new damage type), and Lightning damage. These new damage types will not become over-abundant because a Novice Artisan will be required to complete a series of 1 quests for a NPC at the Theed Starport. Details of this quest are shrouded in mystery, but a player will only be required to travel to Coronet Starport. The quest can be completed there.

Teras Kasi Artists: Teras Kasi Artists will be able to use a force throw-like maneuver which will allow them to hurl their Vibro Knuckler at a targets neck at a range of 100m, cutting off the head, incapacitating and death blowing the target in one hit, the target will also receive -2000 to all stats until the next server reset, or combat balance, whichever is longer. The attack will have -99 accuracy points to compensate for its terrible power. The attack will be granted at Novice Teras Kasi, and can only be done with weapons that have under 9.0 speed. (Note: because Teras Kasi Artists work in close quarters, they will be getting +150 accuracy at Unarmed 4.)
Teras Kasi Artists will also use the following damage types: Kinetic, Restraint, Energy, Heat, Acid, Electricity, Stun, Blast, and Cold. Vibro Knuclers will be granted AP3 because they have the ability to be slide in-between pieces of armor.

Combat Medics: Combat Medics will be able to throw poisons and diseases over fences, and will be granted a weapon at Novice Combat Medic that will have the ability to hurl a RPP or RRD (rocket propelled poison or disease) through walls and doors. Dude to the powerful rocket at the end of the unit, range will be extended to 1.984k (+- 4m).
Combat Medics will also have a certification for a droid that can disperse poison or disease units into the upper atmosphere of a planet, poisoning or diseasing the entire planets population for a duration of 2.4 (RL) days. This poison/disease will have a 900% potency, and will be able to be removed from the planet by a Master Squad Leader who groups the entire planet under his command and uses the /rally ability. On a side not, group size is being reduced to 7 players.

Commando’s: Despite CM being able to launce RPP’s and RPD’s at 1.984k, commandos will be required to be adjacent to their targets and put the grenades in their targets pocket. Due to the small size of pockets, grenade max damage will be capped at 23. If a target is not wearing clothes, the commando take’s the full force of the blast, blowing off his hand(s), and removing the ability to fire a weapon until a bionic hand is used as a replacement by a Master DE. Severe bleeding will cause a commando to become incapacitated unless healed by a Master Doctor with a Small Stimpack E that has with over 3000 power. The bleed will tic for -15,000 because an artery is severed. This will allow medics to gain XP faster than the current system and will not be misbalancing as no one will want to run around naked, it’s to embarrassing. (NOTE: Composite armor does not have pockets.)

Fencer: Due to the rarity of Acklay bones for Stun Batons, the base Min/Max will be raised to 109/382. We will also cause all MOB’s surrounding NPC cities to drop these bones 99.9% of the time. Because of the rarity of Exceptional Acklay Bones, the Acklay will now continually spawn, in the top room of the Geonosian Lab. Because newer players frequent this area, we will reduce the Acklay to creature level 15.

Pikeman: Pikeman is far too powerful. They are too near the speed cap, and have deadly accuracy, especially at ideal range. We will therefore be removing all accuracy and speed mods granted at the Pikeman level, (Note: all brawler mods are still kept). The Vibro Lance will be changed to hot air damage, as it will cause great discomfort and force a player to become overheated and risk heatstroke. (Note: Heat Stroke can be cured by any player by using a water bottle, med use is 0) In regards to the Nightsister Energy Lance, Axkva Min will become resistant to all damage types, except restraint, which she will be vulnerable to. (Note: Teras Kasi Artists now do restraint damage, so she will not be an “un-killable”)
We have found that a upon killing Axkva Min, the drop rates on the Nightsister motors and Nightsister Energy Lance schematics are far to high, therefore we are removing the Nightsister Vibro Motor from all schematics except the Nightsister Energy Lance and we are reducing the drop rate by 960,000%. Also, Axkva Min will only spawn once a month, during reset. (Note: Teras Kasi Artists now have the ability to accesses the game during reset, and will have the Teleport ability during this time only, so they don’t have to waste time and credits on traveling.)

Pistoleer: Is far too effective in PvP combat, therefore we will remove all damage types, except kinetic, (due to the bullet striking the target). Because of the bullets, any given weapon can only be fired 7 times. All pistols will also be reduced to AP -7 (changes to pistols will not effect scatter pistols) The new DE-10 pistol will be the only pistol that deals AP 1, but due to the power of this pistol, the kickback will incapacitate the user for a minimum of 180 seconds, and will inflict Action Wounds on the shooter. Also on rare occasions, the pistol will kick back and ram the player in the face, causing permanent blindness. This will happen at an undisclosed rate, but, pistol condition at, or under, 999/1000 will increase the chance of this happening by 300%. This state can be cured only by a combination of Master DE and Master Doctor. The DE will craft Bionic Eyes, and the Doctor will perform surgery to install them.
(Note: Bionic Eyes may require BE tissue supplies)
(Note2: This blind state will cause the players screen to black out until cured)
(Note3: Because black is a harsh color, player can choose the color of their blind state by going to a Master Image Designer, while the state is in effect only. Color choices will be Cyan, Canary Yellow, Magenta, and Band-aid color)
(Note4: After the Doctor performs the operation of inserting the Bionic Eyes into a permanently blinded player, the Doctor will need to apply head bandages to the player, which cannot be removed for 2 RL weeks)
(Note5: During the bandaged state, the screen is blacked out)
(Note6: During the bandaged state, Image Designer screen color changes will not function)
(Note7: After the bandages are removed, the sharpness of the player’s screen is directly determined by the experimental effectiveness of the Bionic Eyes)

Carbineer: The developers do not wish to take precious time way from needed Teras Kasi Artist, Combat Medic, and Rifleman issues, therefore all Carbineer specials, skill mods, and weapon certifications will be removed from the game until further notice. (Note: Pre-“Nerf” Nyms Slugthrower Carbines are unusable by Carabineers.)

We hope that all you players out there are as excited about this new publish as we are! The development team left work early, and slept in late many days last month in order to come up with these great ideas. Due to the massive strain the short, relaxing days put on our staff, the ever nearing Combat Balance will be pushed back about a month or two. But have no fear! We are already planning another such publish where we will address the following problems: The underpowered state of Combat Medics, Rifleman, and Teras Kasi Artists! Other issues will that will be addressed: The overpowered state of Master Scouts, Novice Artisans, 0/3/0/4 Medics, and Entertainers!
