Thread: DOT's nerfed in combat revamp!?

i keep hearing of a 75% damage reduction fromDOT's in the upcoming combat revamp. This is a severe set-back for my pikeman char., and possibly countless others. IS THIS TRUE!?!?!?!?!?!

u have to remember that it will also balance the otehr professions so maybe pikeman will get better.

Something has to be done with Combat Medics, that is certain. I'd prefer removing Spider Venom, but hey, thats me. A full blown 75% PvP reduction for poison/disease and fire from Combat Medics/Weapons will do it aswell. Sadly, its going to hurt Pikeman tremendously at this currently point in time, if it happens. However, I do think its for the best. It'll certainly weed out the FOTM players and leave only those who truly like the profession, since their "I WIN" weapons are drastically reduced in effectiveness.

I definitly hope they will nerf dots ... along with armor/buffs
Dots are currently the only way to win a fight ... with RM ...
But dots should only be a support ... not a weapon of mass destruction

I'd love to see a 75% PvP reduction on DoTs. The sooner the better.
I'm not a CM or a commando, why should I have to use poison or fire to win a fight?

I would rather get us nefed (along with other professions and CM) than to leave all things at current situation, when we can't win a duel without good looted Pikes.

100% agreed legwand if it wasn't for looted or dotted pikes we'd be the soriest pro.....oh wait to late.

The reason is that, sadly, as a pikeman, there is no other way.
At least until the combat balance when we get fixed ... yeah right!
