Its true, lastnight i fought a guy who used to be master heavyswords/tka now he is heavyswords/pikeman i dont want to see everyone running around as a pikeman =(

I wouldn't classify us as even close to being FOTM. Our numbers are increasing simply because everyones tired of doing the same old thing and trying something new that not a lot of other people are doing.

Pikeman will never be FOTM simply because they dont have a ub3r l33t weapon for PvP. Pikeman is right up ther with Swordsman PvE but PvP its quite pathetic except for some of the nice DoTs on lances.

Uhh... these DoT lances and their availabilty ARE the ub3r l33t weapons.


It doesn't take alot of reading to figure out why people are going Pikeman. It's because DoTs are the easiest way to win, and Pikeman beats the other melee professions hands down in that department.

Yep...DoTs and people trying new things. There has been an increase in numbers since the NS Stronghold opened and people started looting DoT polearms en masse. I could tell this was going to happen, and I still say that all the looted, DoT polearms will be a problem for us.

They see what us all looted pikers can do to groups and they want to be the same, they don't realize we had to work for all our pikes though.

When dots will be nerfed (and hard I hope) most of the 1337 guys will leave our profession ....

Most of them don't have to. The people who have been around for long enough and have piles of cash can just buy their way in. There are examples on every server.
