Thread: Were bleeds nerfed?
This affects many professions, but I think swordsmen get hit pretty hard by this because their mind bleeds were extremely valuable and were one of their defining attacks. Swordsmen need some help, I say.

On a positive note, it looks like the bleed changes work on our side and the NPC/creature side. No more 1600 bleeds from tusken raiders.

Yeah my 900+ bleeds were dropped to about 90+. But, the tuskens bleed me for only about 20-80. Much nicer for fighting enemies, but makes bleed pretty worthless now though (both for me and the enemy). Why even keep it in the game?
I also appreciate the smaller stat wounds from bleeds. Tuskens used to drop my strength and constitution to nothing in two bleeds ![]()

I was shocked to see that my once powerful actionhit2 (1000-1500 damage) hit for 81 points per tick.
81!!!!! **edit**!!!!!
I knew there were nerfing bleeds but come on! also I thought that being able to stack bleeds was being nerfed....guess I was wrong.
81!!!!!!
No doubt our bleeds were integral in taking down the larger targets with ease. I was just saying that action bleed vs mind bleed, the mind bleed is more valuable, and so in losing the effectiveness of their mind bleeds, they lost more value from their class than we did.

As someone that has dabbled in both....it is a much bigger hit to Swordsmen.....Pike has stun, knockdown, bleeds, etc....all Sword has is a bleed, that's IT.....the posture changes rarely work too.....what even worse, is the fact that the bleed doesn't necessarily hit the mind pool now.....it just ticks away at it. So you can use the 2Hand Mind hit, it'll cause 100 Health or Action or Mind Damage, then start ticking at the mind pool.....
I thought a bleed "nerf" would be like a 30% reduction, but a 90% reduction!?!?!?!? Then saying the bleeds don't stack, but allowingsome professions to stack!?!?!?!? From what I have heard, Fencers can still stack....
Well, I've experimented a bit, and I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that bleeds are now largely useless. I'm having a very hard time imagining a situation where doing 200 damage every 20 seconds would acutally be useful. I suppose if one wanted to inflict a slow, painful, death on every gnort, chuba, and kreetle one came across, bleeds as they currently stand could come in handy...
Hurts to have them made near useless, but Im also happy that Im not bleeding out so much while fighting Tuskens or some of the more angry Nightsisters....
I guess at least theres a silver lining to this dark cloud ![]()
