Thread: OMG! what is wrong with these developers! another new swordsman weapon?! a new TK wpn! where's our's
. I don't think that teras kasi people should get new weapons, cuz they are already cheap. I do think that us swordsmen should get a new weapon though, because they scythe is HORRIBLE AND NEVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN PUT INTO THE GAME. Now after I mastered swordsman, i decided to master pikeman, and I will admit pikemen DO need another weapon. Also, since we have long staffs, why would there be negative range modifiers? That makes no sense at all. Swordsman deserve the right to be better in pvp, AND so do pikeman. But i really dont think fencers need anything else, cuz they are sooooooooooooooo uber already. Pikeman should get like a REAL scythe, with a blade at the end thats like 4 feet big, and average damage of like 700, now that would be nice
i was a swordsman myself, and the scythe is by no means worthless, it is far better than the closest kinetic wpn (2hand curved) in pve and of course pvp is completely different every class needs better pvp'ability in melee but i guess it's just going to have to be making my alt into a swordsman so i will have both.

The Corellian Corvette has new loot drops for a new pistol, a new 2 hand sword and a new vibroknuckler (the razor knuckler).
All the while our AP1 energy lance which drops from a mob we can't damage and isn't worth the effort involved in getting it sits out there as our "reward".
because she is 100% resistant to kinetic.

The tera kasi are getting a new weapon because the only type of damage they can deal is kinetic and many many mobs have 85-100% kinetic resist, now all other proffessions have the option of welding another damage type to give them an ability to do even slight damage, at the moment TKA dont.
A Swordsmen Scythe is not horrible, however your weaponsmiths may be horrible, on my server i have seen scythe that has well over 400 damage(an old timer swordsmen like myselfs powerhammer stats ), with more even out HAM costs and much faster, on my server it is now the most widly used swordsmen Weapon
As it is Fencer have i belive Kinetic and Stun damage ( only ) which is good just because they also have the alternative that TKA dont have. Though they DO deserve new weapons just to add variety, which is why many of these new weapons ( like the new Black Sun weapons are most likely being added )
Pikeman were the first to get new weapons beyond the normally craftable, mainly the Night Sister Pikes and Energy lances so in that respect they have been given the chance to expand weapon wise, they also have more then one damage type ( kinetic, and energy, possibly more )
As it is i have Finished Swordsmen ( and been one for 5 months ), Fencer ( about 3 weeks ) and a TKA ( 3 days, hoping to keep for several months ) and i have to say out of all of them Swordsmen is the most uber of them all if you know how to weild their weapons right ( which many do not know how to do ).
At the moment i am leveling up Pikeman which will complete my trek through brawler, which is my favorite line in they entire game and although at first the speed seems really terrible ( 5.5! 6.6! ) buta LVA can hit 3.3-3.8 speed and still have decent damage ( High 300's ( 2handed Curved Sword - Mid quality Scythe ) ).
Also be aware that this Publish 8 is still quiet a bit away, and since this stuff will be released with the mini dungeon it is even further, do not jump to the conclusion that you will not get a new weapon

Well they put in a new pistol which a BH can use so they got a new weapon.Check the pistoleer forum for a pic.

if they have cert for it though.. like the geo pistol required pistol tech ...
pikemen seriously deserve a new weapon or two.... i mean i killed akvar and she had 2000 cr on her... she is hardly ever in there and the people who camp it are not even pikemen .... then sell teh schematic for 5mil plus.. then having to get the NS vibro units... forget that.. but i guess our reward in publish 8 is giving the NS their force powers back so we can get force choked while trying to loot out uber DOT pike..
