I think that I made that post when I was using kd a lot. I thought kd was pretty awesome, but then I had gotten bored with it. When at master, I played around with using different strategies and acctually found that if I gave the area attacks more time, I learded how to use them effectively.

When starting the class I was much like you guys. I would go up to the highest creature I could find, kd him, and try to take him out. I found, unfortunately, that when I reached master taking out a couple of whites and a yellow give more exp then a normal red splash and what not. I have heard that if you solo a krayt dragon (I know this was from a sniping rifleman), that it only gives 4k in exp. Well, in the battle with the 2y 3w and 1b, I got I think 1k from each yellow, about 500 from the whites and 150 for the blue. (I know I am balparking it) but out of that I got almost as much as people would get for a krayt. I found that that was the easier way to go... Of course I figured this all out when I was a master, so it has only been usefull to me now that I have started over.

In using the attack yes you miss, but if you do miss, you rarely miss all of them, or atleast that has been my experiences. Here is a close to what My attacksdid in the battlen the first hit the Yellows take about 1/4 to 1/8 of theirHAM in damage, then the whites take about 1/2 to 1/4 and the blue is dead. Next the yellows are hurt the same, I miss the whites. Again... One yellow takes damage, miss the other, one white is dead, the other misses. Next... Yellows take more damage, white is dead, other takes damage. etc... it went on like this till it was just the two yellows, I healed then if they weren't close to their own death, I switched to Polearm hit 2, and focused one of them till they died. It was close in the end, and I probably should have healed, but I made it out alright in the end.

btw, I am trying a new strategy, and that is wearing somecomposite armor (I know a death sentance) and just using auto attack. When just using auto attack, I found that the HAM costs are nonexistant, practically. I have a helm that gives me about 33% to everything, and 6% to electricity. but greatly reduces my mind. I think the focus changes to like 9, hehe, and the Willpower goes down about 200 points. It seemed to work when Killing npc's on faction missions, about a rating of 11-13, have to check it out on some of the harder planets.

I tried to stay out of this thread, because Silver sounds like he knows what he talking about most of the time. But that is utter BS comparing killing Kreetle-like creatures to the higher end Mobs some of us are trying to kill. I respect you going back through the levels to put yourself in our shoes, but the last few posts sound like you are trivializing our plight. I had fun going through the lower lvls, killing every creature in sight. But things have gotten bad after you get your first support lvl in Pikeman. The blue creatures you are killing now, are very tough after the last round of patches. I have yet seen one positive to them to be honest. Now this following quote is taken directly from one of your own posts:

"Polearm spin attack... I don't think I have mentioned this before. This attack you get before you become a pikeman... In my oppinion, I would say that this skill is not worth using. There are really rare circumstances, like they are with in an inch of their lives, and you need to do damage to the pools fast... But mainly I would say don't use this. It takes to long to recover from it to be an effective attack, that is unless you hit at 1.0 speed, lol..."

There you are downplaying the use of the Spin Attack, and here you are singing its praises. You were alot more accurate in the above post, because it really is a worthless move. If you swing it in a group of 3 creatures, you will more than likely only hit one of them. By the time you can swing it again, the creatures have already hit you about 2 times per creature, so thats 6 hits. Being below the Pikeman lvl you can take these hits from a yellow or maybe even a red, but once you get higher up, you're dead meat.

I've found that I now seem to be little use toa group other than a very small one without pets, in which case, the only real importance I seem to have is to take the damage for the sake of everyone else. How sad is that?
