Thread: Defense Stacking
melee and ranged defense mods will stack with any profession, however, there is a point where you won't benefit much from having them stack.I beleive once you get about 250 in each, getting more will not do very much by way of reducing damage but it will still affect your opponents attacks hits and misses. I do beleive the diminished returns formula is in effect for all skill mods in the game.
Aura and COB do not and have never ever stacked. at one time they both could be activated at the same time, but you only gained the benefit of one or the one that gave the highest def points. for example, if you have advanced COB (gives +500 points to defense) and you have basic force aura (gives +250 points to defense), then you activated them both....you would not get +750 defense....instead you'd simply get the +500 from COB and aura would be a waste to have used.
then in either patch 18 or 19, the devs made it so that you can't even activate both of them at the same time anymore. You now get a message saying that you already have a similar type of ability active when trying to use both of them.

The general defense mods will stack.
The real question would be: will COB stack with Aura?
And the answer to that question is no COB and Aura do not stack. They are considered the same thing. I ran Aura then COB and got you are already using that force enhancemnet or what ever it normall says.
Yes if you had TKM and MDef. it would all stack. Above poster is right. After a certain point it doesn't add anymore. I forgot to add that. ![]()
