From a master Doc/Fencer I am scared of one thing when I PvP or duel and thats a Pike/Doc don't put yourselves down a Pikeman with good DoT pikes and knows what he is doing can kick serious ass.

My problem with this whole revamp is if the Devs just lower min/max damage on weapons, lower resists on armor, and bring buffs down, everything will be the exactly the same.

Hopefully well balanced and good tatic using groups will rule pvp instead of a small number of professions(CM,rifles,fencer) and a smaller number of lesser powered professions using exceptional weapons.

weapon switch timer makes more than 2 dots useless. So focus on one pool guys.

Meh my beloved profession better not become FOTM like fencer did or i will be dropping it. I want to come back and very rarely loose duels with my beutiful pikes.
Even if we do somehow suffer we still look the part while doing it.
Its not how much damage you do. Its how good you look while doing it

you mean fencers will own with stun batons and low % stun armor? I think thats what you meant.

Im afraid i will have to disagree that pikeman will rule.. I believe TK will once again rule... with kd/dizzy and headhit they are going to be hard to beat

Maybe if we learn to aim for the head we will rule?? I mean seariously any 3+ year old kid can hit you in the head repeatidly with a stick when requested... I realize this is not the same as in the middle of a fight... but a master pikesman cant even aim for the head?

There's the difference. If people simply augmented their own attacks with DoTs the way you can with bleeds I'd have no problem with that. Stacking five 200+ strength mind poisons on someone is not augmentation, it's letting the DoTs do the work for you.

Also, this goes back to the very first post about migitation gone and armor nerfed. Did you forget about fencers? They seem to be doing fine with migitation and armor not nerfed...why wouldn't they rule pvp anymore than a pikeman after the changes?

Actually it's 975. I was using the 920 damage one for quickly killing NS's, but eventually gave it to a guildie to level with.

how can anyone say tkm would be better than pike with the new system? first off, as a idea of what it will be like w/o the mitigation i dueled a mbh/pistoleer with no melee mitigation using my 900 dmg pike and speed capped out w/ attachments i was hitting for, no joke 1280 dmg in the combat window, of course with his 37 stun 73 base armor only about 400 dmg was going through. A pikeman thats speed capped hits if not at the same speed, neerly as fast as a tkm. so you say a tkm can head hit and has dizzy/kd. enter my 290 strength mind fire, area attack 2, and any sweep attack and you get the same if not better thing.

Also 2h would be hitting hard. I fought Rifle/docs as 2h/doc Hammer hitting 400 with helm. Thats mind hits. No helm about 1.2k
