I really don't see why everything has to be soloed in this game. Krayts aren't meant to be. The Geo cave isn't meant to be. And the Corvette is not meant to be. Things go much better in a group and they are much more fun!

That aside, you can solo krayts, the Geo cave, and even the Corvette(from a certain point of view). Make sure you have 80% composite and are buffed with plenty of mind food/drink/spice ready. If you stick to 'little' krayts, I think you'll be ok with MCM/MR. If you want Giant Canyon Krayts or Ancients(perfect example of why soloing isn't everything, but the choice is up to you), you will need enough Doctor to heal those nasty status effects. If finding a buff is a problem, you'll also want that part of Doctor instead of another CM line. You're also going to want enough rifle speed SEAs to reach the 1 second cap(+7 will take care of this ).

To sum up, there's almost nothing you can't do with MR/CM/Doctor.

I have to disagree with both you and Spawn here with one regard. Ignoring for the moment what should and should not be soloable, being in a group is not necessarily all that. If I am by myself, I do not have to worry about who gets the loot and I do not have to get frustrated by people do not bother taking turns with looting. This is particularly important for riflemen in groups with melee professions, because when the creature dies, we are more often than not out of loot range whereas the melee professions by their very nature are right there.

I also do not have to put up with the petty bickering that inevitably arises within groups or the griping and complaining about some other player that is not even in the group. I do not have to start attacking before I am ready because someone decided to jump in without checking, nor do I have then stop attacking to go try to heal that person because they were too stupid to know when to run away. The truth is that groups, even when with friends, can be a frustrating experience.

Not everyone is built towards group activites. Some of us like to do things at our own pace and really prefer not to have the politics of group dynamics, especially when things do not go well, forced upon us.

While there certainly should be content that requires a group, people who prefer to solo should not be limited to durnis and paralopes. There should be content that allows people to solo high level creatures that should give them bragging rights about taking it down solo.

I agree. I do not particularly like to group, unless its with people I know aren't morons.

Besides that riflemen are only really good in groups of riflemen or swordsmen. Strafe2 is good, but that AoE can really be a problem sometimes.

I've seen this done..

I think the tactic was a bit like this..

Conceal shot * 2 then snipe shot ( from max distance)

Then after the conceal is broken you run like hell and using the kneecap shot to slow down the krayt followed by what ever is your best damage shot. The repeat trying to keep the krayt snared or rooted.

Add to this clever use of food, drinks, drugs and doc buffs.

Hope this helps..

just make a macro:

/twohandHeadhit3;

/macro headhitloop;

and make another macro:

/ui action clearCombatQueue;

/healdamage self;

and make another one:

/ui action clearCombatQueue;

/twohandMindHit2;

and also:

/ui action clearCombatQueue;

/intimidate;

/intimidate;

/intimidate;

be sure you eat 3 ahrisa and drink 2 vas brandy, and get a set of 80% kinetic comp armor and keep that dragon intimidated and you'll be ok.. it'll take awhile, but you're always sure to win with good stims and an acklay powerhammer.. be sure you're speedcapped too..

oh wait.. that don't work anymore =P

Just group with a bunch of level 80's on Dant and you can be a full template in 3 weeks....

Ohh wait... those days are over.

/sarcasm off

The real answer is yes, Drop TKM skills to lower your CL, and SOLO... SOLO!!!! SOLO!!!!... Dont group grind and dont get vis!!
