as i have done it man y a time
as i have done it man y a timepike/doc is real nce combo fellas. dot is about the only way tho since compo armor is great these days

So much self-delusion.
Pikeman sucks in PvP, but DoTs rule PvP. Someone loots a powerful DoT lance and picks up pikeman to use it. He then tricks himself into thinking pikeman is great in PvP, while without DoTs he'd still be a laughingstock.
Saying pikeman is good in PvP is totally misleading. Anyone of any profession who can get their hands on a strong DoT weapon is good in PvP.

ivossk, i went with the 0040 for the other def bonuses, and the counter attack.... one cuz i said im also big into PvE, and two cuz in a duel sooner i hit em up with all my fun lil friends (DoT) soon i can switch to by high dmg wpn and trounce em around a bit. also im into the GCW and i like pickin fight with groups of rebbies in the middle of cnet, so satisfyin when they hit me only to get DoT'd for thier efforts, but then im a Vengeful mo'fo:stormtrooper

if your using a pike... that bonus to counter attack from swordsmen isn't going to work.

Master doc/pike here and i solo jedi with 178 mind fire, 202 strength mind poison and then mind disease heh. 3 diff weaps but they cant cure the fire and usually they cant get the poison unless they healers but my pvp rating is 1800+ cuz i can heal myself from poisons and diseases and other fire. It works our greatly. I love this combo and pikeman is also great in pve for area knockdowns. wonderful absolutely wonderful especially since i speed capped

ok against hard opponents i can stack my 2 action poison dots one is at strenght 717 and the other on 280..so i can tack about 1k in action ham at every tick, ohh yeah the pot on the 717 is 228% and the pot on the 280 is 98% so rest of the time i can play defense hehe, becuase im master doc/pike

yea thats true abiut DOT being the only way for pikeman to be good butm pikeman also has the most DOT weaps out there which make it the number one choice. and the gracefullness of the pike attracts me to it as well

Sskatha, this is what I was talking about. You don't get the counter attack bonus, you only get another +15 in kd def, and you get very little added to other defences. When you could have +20 to dizzy, blind, and stun defence. Which would give you 100 dizzy def if you are master pikeman and 70 stun def? I forget.

lol, well i have checked behine my ears, turns out... still wet. i was not aware that the counter only applies to swordman, in descript it sez that it just applies..... so i suppose dodge dont work with pikes either?
