I dunno, man... saw a pikeman clean out Kaadara of stormtroopers solo. He seemed to be doing well enough on his own.

nope, most i've ever been hit by a protector is 2500.......i have 600 HAM left after that, so i still am surviving.

As Antares said I never said anything about soloing her, I said damaging her. Big difference. I was thinking of sponsoring a pikeman hunting trip (in other words a GROUP) to Axkva Min to see if we could get some loot but we can't damage her. Don't give me bunk about "that's why you have 250 skill points make choices" I did. I became a doctor in addition to being a pikeman. It would be the same if the quest that gave the scythe schematic was full of mobs that were 100% resist to kinetic and blast.

The MOB spawns once a day and is 100% resistant to pikeman damage types. That's just stupid and IMO shows a horrible lack of planning on the part of the devs.

Axkva Min drops pikeman and TKA specific loot and she can't be damaged by either of those professions and IMO that is a lame implementation.

What AoE and damage issues? Personally never had any issues. Even without skill tapes we are faster than swordsmen and our damage is actually higher on weapons that have a similar speed. I've come across loads of swordsman who brag (in game) about how much they out damage pikeman. So I put on a show and they go quiet and that is just with a standard sliced LVA (no powerups).

The armour hole can be a pain (although rarely), not exactly a pikeman specific issue though and its fixed as of next week anyway.

Like Shinjokazuki, I don't have problems soloing pretty much anything, which is kind of silly really. So I'm actually looking forward to the force caves and NS areas getting their force powers back, as it will be a challenge again. I know in part this is down to me dabbling to get defence up, so when we finally get some more defences in the profession I can drop some skills, level in CH so I can get a ranged poison attacks (or something), still have the same defensive ability and disease everything around me with my NS lance.

We'll be nerfed to hell!!!

Personally I agree with this post...Pikeman is one of the best PVE proffessions...

Far as defenses go If you stack it with any other melee proffession your defenses are great

I guarentee you can kick serious as i pvp with that build..Dot weapons are crucial for pvp but you pikeman should be able to find some if you hunt NS for while
