I can not say i would not do this myself, once having been a PvP pikeman DOTS where my big advantage and i used them. This is not a tactic worthy of bragging about, it is time game which a fleeing Master Doc has plenty of in this situation.

I feel dishonorable when I do it, but really there's no other way for me to deal too much damage. I usually throw health fire on them and just fight defensively, healing and reapplying the fire until they drop. It's unfortunate that SOE has made pikeman like this, unless I loot a big weapon (i.e. 800+ damage), whereas right now I have a 540 max LVA, and a 580 max NS lance (read:useless). But, I hope for the day that pike doesn't need dot's to win anymore, or won't have to rely on loots that much at all to win fights. /sigh.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but my 950 damage LVA does about 10 more points of damage in pvp than my regular 370 LVA
TKM's not using knucklers hit me for about 5 times more damage and are still twice as fast.

Thanks for the responses guys (and girls)...now i know more about DoTs in the Pikeman Community.

Exactly.
I've got DOT lances like crazy because I can't damage without them. My 256-977 LVA does around 130 pvp damage, which at one hit per 3 seconds, is about as worthless as it gets.

I dont use dots. Since I find the PvP in this game to be boaring, its not really a problem. I wouldnt mind having some nice dot lances but just to display in my house or for against things like Kryats and stuff like that.
