That stupid link is the exact reason I did this in the first place. It has incorrect information for every single attack except for one (spin2 I believe it had right).

if you must have a calculator, use this instead

So according to this information, there is absolutely no reason to use Spin2 over Area2? The damage on Area2 is better, it stuns AND dizzys, speed mod is the same, and Area2 looks freaking cool. Or am I missing something?

Some people think that spin2 is better at dizzying than area2. This hasn't been my experience, I actually think area2 dizzies a bit better. However, if it is true it would be a reason to use spin2.

Personally, the only time I use spin2 is if I feel like seeing its animation.

How reliable are the status effects with pike, in general?

Just a little bump to add that since people ask about speed caps so often I've added a speed cap calculator thingy to my DPS calculator page. Put in your weapon speed and it'll tell you what polearm speed mod you need to cap.

Here it is.

And to belatedly answer the post right above me, pike status effects are pretty reliable in general.

I'm not sure what you mean by "x2 range" on lunge2, if you mean polearm max range x2 it's longer than that. In my experience lunge2 reaches a whopping 20 meters (Great for taking down kiters).

Thanks for the dps, I've been using the killyourpc one and couldnt make sense of the fact that spinattack1 had the highest dps. Finally a reason to use hit3 again.

Good point. I suppose it would make sense to actually say what it's x2 in comparison to

I actually meant it as x2 the range of normal specials. Since I neglected to mention anywhere that normal special have a range of 10m I'm going to update it for clarity. Thanks.
