+90 will cap anything with a speed of 3.3 or less. But even with a 4.5 speed weapon the slowest you'd hit is 1.35 seconds apart.

The way it works is this:

actual speed = weapon speed * delay mod * ((100 - player speed)/100)

A +100 speed mod for the player always gives you an actual speed of 0, so you'd cap even if the weapon speed was 4.5 millenia.

This is all supposed to change in the combat balance, of course.

This is well put together but I'm hesitant to sticky it because I'm not sure if these are the truely official numbers or not.

Thanks for the work

My pleasure.

Is it actually possible to get the official numbers, or at least be informed if something is wrong? It was my understanding that the devs won't give numbers out, but if something's wrong I'd like to know about it as well.

Doesn't matter if you sticky the post or not, as long as you don't mind that it's going to get bumped every time someone mentions that awful "pikeman damage calculator"

Has there been any data been ran on combos. For instance if you use hit 2 than hit 3 it seems to be faster speed then just using hit 3 twice or hit 2 twice in a row. Anther example is sweep successful knockdown and hit 3 this does more damage 3.0. From what I have seen this holds true in fitting npc. In PVP the rule change a grate deal I would have to say this data does not hold true. But then again I shy away from PVP do to master Pikeman and Master CH are nowhere near a good combo for PVP. But give me most npc and I will tare them up.

Just a guess, but I suspect any time difference you're seeing with combos is due to the length of the animations themselves. Though something along the lines of combos was mentioned a long time ago as being considered, it never got into the game.

Keep in mind that the numbers here represent nothing but the ratio of the special to the baseline autoattack. Hit3's 4x damage doesn't mean you'll do four times the damage of your weapon, just that you'll do four times the damage compared to autoattacking. The damage bonus from attacking a KD'd enemy and the damage penalty in PvP both apply to every attack, so the ratios remain the same.

The benifit for pikeman is that we have a low damage modifier, but a high base damage. remeber, those crazy devs never liked the idea of special moves being spammed. they thought it should be auto-attacking with occasional specials.

IN a pre +250 unarmed damage world, pikeman had a higher base damage than teras kasi AND fencer, and a master pikeman will auto attack at about 1.0. So while auto attacking we would outdamage teras kasi and fencer, but even out when we do special moves.

IN theory of course.

But TKA got +250 Unarmed damage, and acklaybonesblew that out of the **edit**ing water. and we're just left in the wake of the TKA boost.

Plus, no one auto attacks anyway, that certainly dosen't help either.

But some time you guys should just auto attack a non-high end mob. it's kinda impressive.

I finally gave in, made a master brawler, and tested lunge2. The original post has been edited to include it, so I'm bumping for the hell of it.

I always thought our action attack sucked. thought it was 3.0mod, 2.5 is horrendous!

I kill plenty of things with auto attack btw. (either when I am not buffed or extremely bored...lol)
