To my knowledge, any humanoid NPC can drop locked containers.

>> Am I the only one who sees a problem with this?

It is called supply and demand. Guess what? The demand is currently focused thecontainers, and smugglers wanting to open them. More demand than supply. You might be bummer that you do not have an unending supply of locked containers so you can raise your skill, but that is the way it goes.

There is little to no demand of people wanting to get their containers unlocked to get the trash that is inside. Thus, people are not going to pay for it.

It might suck that you do not have a simple path to raise your skills, but that is sort of the point. (IMHO)

Considering people are asking for money to let someone teach them, i think 500CR for a unlocked containers is a bargain.

Biggest problem as I see it is that there will never be a market for containers to be opened until they put something decent in them. Im 500 exp away from the first step in slicing. I wont spam for containers due to hating that kind of thing from other online games I have played in the past. I have made several trips to the major planets to buy containers that were listed on the bazaar and payed a small fortune for them. I dont mind them being rare as I think it adds to the game, but there should be a very small chance for a very nice payout. They are not the huge time sink they are made out to be anyway. I got to within 500 exp of finishing in 5 days. Hopefully I will get my last 500 and move on tomorrow.

the look on shivalyn's face when he reads this: PRICELESS

dude, stop whining. you are just being a hater about the issue. people do what they have to do to get their skills.

Again: not credits for slicing.

Drugs for slicing. You get xp in both branches that way, and it fattens the market for more drugs AND slicing. From you.

Enjoy.

Just to let you know, you can slice containers inside others houses. If sucessful you get exp, but the container disappears. (I tried it in my guild hall - with permission) Since we are considered thieves anyways, just crack them open.

I was in the forums yesterday and today weve only had one new post for pikeman, this shows our numbers are low, who wants to be part of a broken class? im starting to consider (only consider) heavy swordsman, if thats what occurs i may give up swg as a whole, any comments?

I like pikeman and think that we will eventually get the attention we deserve. I've thought about swordsman because of the mind hits and the blast damage, but I still like pikeman over it. I just wish the devs would fix the problems with our class and give us a special ability that is unique to our class.

I was a Master Ranger and waited for changes, you can look up my posts over there. The Ranger class is still not worth the certs. I just gave up Master Carbineer and these guys have the same HAM issues as the Pikeman. I thought Master Carbineer was in trouble but after playing a Pikeman, Carbineer seemed like a breeze with a nice pet.

Big thing that bothers me with Pikeman, and this is based on my observations of having Mastered Carbineer is that I take quite a bit of more damage then Carbineer and my survivability is a lot less. Pikeman should be a lotmore survivablein melee, plus the reach of the Pikeman is around 5 meters, sometimes on a hill I can get around 7 meters and be within range. You would think with a nice long pike weapon you could be attacking from 10 meters out with no problem

1.) Make us more survivable in melee

2.) Reduce HAM costs and reduce them on misses too, I do more damage missing then the mob attacking does to me sometimes

3.) Give us an extended melee range compare to TKA, we are using a long weapon with a long reach
