Mitigation is something we're pushing to be removed from pvp.

I should clearify...those issues are just the ones that I've suggested for pikeman.
There are correspondentspushing for armor, mitigation, and other 'general' issuesto be fixedpre-revamp which affect pvp and all the combat professions in general....hopefully those will be included and they will help us out.
Now, I can't say what is and isn't going to be fixed pre-combat revamp, so we're going to have to wait and see on that. DOTs could be changed, they could be left alone, but I'm going with what I was told in the other thread...that dots are bad and should be toned down.

I agree with this. Nightsisters are easy kills. Dropping good stuff was fine when they were tough, as it is now they're just a loot farm. They need to get their teeth back.
Unfortunately, they've been broken since publish 7. The cat is out of the bag, and there's such an overabundance of DoT weapons already in circulation that just fixing the NPC AI isn't going to solve things. It could go a long way to keeping the problem from getting any worse, but something still needs to be done to bring the weapons that are already out there under control.

Give us a unique damage type and/or AR3 like pikemen were intended to do (but then again, not much of this game makes sense with how it would be intendedso what the hell). Then we'll about nerfing our PvP tools. With the weapon switch and then making mods not stack soon (no more defense stacking at all from what I've heard), everyone's gonna be doc/something else, so even then there's nothing really there to "nerf" us on, we'll just become the joke melee profession like it was when the game started. As for the weapon delay, I think we lost a lot of FoTM'ers with that "nerf" asI've noticed a lot less people asking to get taught.
Just like the devs have told the BH's this whole time, "use better tactics". Instead of removing our DoT's or nerfing them (75% would bring down a 200 str mind poison to 50 tick....anyone with brandy can regen their mind faster than that), just tell all the people that whine about getting beat by a pikeman to use better tactics as well. Just because their +125 (capped) melee and ranged defense template doesn't work doesn't mean that they should be able to beat anything they come into contact with. I just say nerf the drop rate of DoT'ed lances so that even a normal NS lance would be hard to come by, maybe the swordsman population would drop a bit more.

i have to say I back the DoT nerfage 100%, mostly id like to see the area cure/innoculations thing but i think they need toned down a bit on weapons perhaps depending on the strength of these innoculations

You might have a point there but it would certainly help (and make the game more fun)...
Back when i started even the most lowly of NS Lances was a rarity... i started collecting dot-weapons then before anybody really knew what they were about on my server... still i paid over 100k for that standard NS-lance... in that time buffs were non-existent and we hunting squill for money in large groups... so u got lucky if u made 25k a night. So i spend the equivalent of several nights hunting for a near useless lance but i was chuffed anyways... i had a rare lootitem....
When i wanted more i mobilised my guild and we went for NS Stronghold in that day we didnt get past the front door... And that is how it is supposed to be... they are the rockhard npcs... now it only takes time...
Identicallances as the one i bought thenare now on the bazaar and not getting sold becoz there are so many of them...
That just bites....
