"punching bag", yes, butnot in a good way - not with the idea that he could take the hits, but that he always gets beat up. We are decent at area fighting (we should be much better), but since the beginning of the game, defense has never been our strong point.

To me, no. I can see where mind fire for ranged weapons is nice, as you just tab, attack, tab,attack, but since we have to run to everything, waste of time.


I found it easier just to kill them where they are and be done with it, thus, I've quit carrying my DoT polearms.

Hi I just started on pikeman and I'm finding myself doing fencer damage at swordsman speed, but rarely hitting. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I have a 159-378 dmg lva at 3.5 speed, but I'm only doing like 1500 max with spin attack 2 and all other specials. If there is any advice tp counter this and help out this please respond.

sounds very normal to me. The true power of a pikeman won't become noticable till you reach 4xx4. The important thing about pikeman is it's an AOE profession. In the sense we're not all about taking down one target at a time, but multitudes of them. You won't see the single damage output of the swordsman with this profession and you certainly won't see the speed of the fencer with this profession, but what you will see is a lot of corpses when you're done fighting.

Once you have xxx2 switch to your LVA and laugh at all that stands before you

Hi im new to the profession, and would like some pointers like what is the best combos? etc? A friend of mine has been pikeman since like day one and so far being a pikeman 0 0 1 3 im enjoying it any pointers would be welcomed

Remember one thing: If you Dizzy/KD somone, do not use Hit 3, use Hit 2. If you use Hit 3 and they stand up immediatly, andyou die... well... its not my fault......


The combo I usualy run on NPC's is: Spin2, Sweep2, Leg Hit 3, rinse and repeat when they get up.

For MOB's: Intimidate, Stun2, Sweep 2, Hit 3

Because hit3 has a posture down attack, which makes someone who is KDed jump back up immediately. The devs put this in most likely to stop people from spamming KD attacks to keep the opponent on the ground, coupled with the timers.
