Thread: Armor for Polearms
I dont wear any. The HAM costs dont seem worth it. I didnt realize the penalties I was incurringuntilI took off my armorweave. I hit faster, run faster, regen. quicker and look darn good sporting only mypilot jacket. Think about it, if your fighting with a stick, you dont want to have armor weighing you down. Anyway, most of the armor looks pretty dorkyin my opinion.
The best thing to do is get someone to make you a good staff and then get it sliced. Currently my combat staff specs. are something like 70-130 with 4.7 speed. Whites arent even a challenge. I'll move onto alance/vibrolance eventually.
But most of all, remember to have fun!

The age old question seems always to rear its head. I myself wear armor because I could not imagine going to fight someone with no armor on, when armor was available. From what I can tell I pvp my chitin armor keeps me alive. I fought a friend of mine the other day. He is a master pistol specialist and a master rifle specialist, while I am merely an expert pikeman specialist.
We started the duel 36meters away i used burst run to get right on his ass, he did some erratic running away I missed some, he hit me twice in the head, with head shot 2 or something. Half the damage he did to me was gone because of my chitin armor. Then I hit him for 2680 with polearm hit 1. The difference in this battle was decided by armor. If I was wearing no armor he would have killed me before i got to him.
For pvp I am think armor is a must!
