My 2cr...
I like the new changes. Direct Damage should be the majority of the HAM decrease, not bleeds / disease / poison / fire / etc / etc. It balances a lot of professions out in my mind.

I still managed to get an 800 bleed on a KD'ed 15% resist NS protector this evening. Not too bad I'd say, but I'm not sure how that happened, most of my bleeds have been much less. On the same protector, bleeding standing up was 170.

Even KD'ed, my best bleed was like 300, and that was on a Hurtoon Huntress with 15% Kinetic resist and no armor.

Doesn't anyone reapply the bleed anymore. If I do ever use a bleed I don't just nail it once, I usually hit the thing about 4 times or so then proceed to fight the beastie.
Don't know if this still works or not, maybe someone should check it out.

Well, even if you reapply it several times, you're still going to be using whatever crappy damage mod they put on the attack. So, after several reapplys, you might be doing 350 damage with the bleed rather then 150 or 75 or whatever. It's still not enough to make a difference when fighting most mobs.

I believe you'll actually end up using whatever the last bleed you hit with was. So if you hit for 150, then hit for 50, it's the 50 that controls the bleed. Unless things have changed, which is entirely possible.
Bleeds were really a necessity for me in high-level PvE. I have no option of 75% resists, if I'm lucky I have a shield generator with 20% resists that your average nightsister can destroy in about 5 hits, and a protector or above in one hit. I never really used bleeds much on anything with less than 12k ham or so, but there's just no way I can seem to survive long enough against tougher enemies without a good bleed to speed the fight up.
I'm not real optimistic that I'll ever manage to get an energy lance schematic now. The only way I was even moderately useful in a fight with an elder (or axkva, who's essentially the same thing) was with bleeds.
Admittedly, a lot of this is more an issue with wookiees lacking armor than with bleeds, but bleeds at least leveled the field a little.

hummm...I got the impression that this new bleedsystem was mainly to fix the problem with DoT beeing so much abused in PvP, especially by the hit-and-run PvPers. As I see it now, the bleeds are useless in PvE unless you massgroup with the likes and all hit bleeds. Alone, the bleeds are kinda like badcopiesof the poolattacks.
