Spewing! I was going to start working on pikeman, next week too! I thought, there's no possible way the devs can nerf this profession. Well it turns out I was wrong, and if these guys can nerf pikeman, well all other pro's are probably screwed as well...

It is going to be a very interesting few months untill World of Warcraft is released.

Goodness will you folks stop whining. You've heard it said 80 billion times before that they don't like us soloing the red cons. You gotta realize the devs hate the fact that any elite profession can SOLO a rancor.

What will this mean? The rancors you fight will just take a little extra to kill that's all. You people are making it sound like it's the end of the world. You know good and well that while you were leveling pikeman you were doing just fine with only one action bleed and when you got the second it was rosy. All this means is you can't stack your bleeds anymore. So you can only slap a 2-3K bleed instead of a 5-6K bleed. Whoop dee doo call in the National Gaurd we got a crisis on our hands. /roll eyes

This is no TKA buff at the expense of pikeman blah blah blah and it's not done to satisfy PvP whiners blah blah blah. You can still solo dath, you can still solo dant, and you can still solo endor. The Rancor preservation society will still hate us because of our callous, cruel and merciless slaughter of the Dathorian Rancor population.

All this is going to do is make it so that if you group with a commando you can still get some xp. It makes grouping more attractive while still maininting the solo players ability to compete with high end mobs.

/end rant

Actually, there was one thing you missed that also effects us, in a good way.

There is now a chef food which can add around 18+ to accuracy for around 20 minutes..........^_^

I didn't miss that because it's not in the patch notes. There will be all kinds of new chef foods, some of which will benefit us, most definitely.

If it allows multiple bleeds of the same type from multiple players, then we actually gain some ground.

I was looking forward to getting Action Hit 2, so I could stack my two Carbine DOT's and my two Pike DOT's. Oh well, now I don't have too much of a reason to keep my Carbine skills, which may be a blessing in disguise as I will have no regrets using the points for master brawler now.

a little update on that last one:

"One of the "biggest little" things with this publish will be the removal of "insured decay" from the death penalty. Instead of having a 1% decay for items, players will have no decay as long as they have insurance."

now, this is indeed even more good new

I am just pissed that now DoT dmg is even put into the xp / loot permission. That is some serious BS. Considering Commandoes have the Best DoT by far.

However this is only for PvP. This change should be in effect for ALL deaths, PvE included.

The reason the devs put this in in the first place was to a) cut down on people dying to get a free ride back to town and b) a reason for those stupid insurance terms once corpse retrieval was nerfed. Having paid the insurance on my goods I should not suffer decay on the items. Having to re-insure I'll go with, but not the 1% decay. It was the dumbest concept by the devs ever and should be changed.

erh.. the way I read it it says all insured items will no longer suffer the 1% decay penalty? ...so no matter if you die from a chupa or a player, you would not suffer the 1% decay penalty.

I thought they were fixing the commando DoT as well?
