Thread: Night sister loot

Yea it stink to invest thousands of credits on UBER weapons and UBER armor Not to mention on food, Sometimes attachments , Countless hours trying to loot something awesome.... And then buffs ect.... And get rebel orders on an Npc's that takes from 20-60 minutes to kill this needs to be addressed soon....
The thing is its being addressed SOE is trying to do their best to improve loot system .... In a way that wont flood the market with uber loots

Once we get through the game-critical revamps coming down the pike up till JTL is launched I see game content getting a major kick in the butt. I'd place money on the loot system getting a fairly substantial revamp after the Combat and Galactic Civil War revamps.

I certainly hope so because the game is getting a bit stale with little to do. You mastered the profession(s) you want to, done the quests. All thats left at the moment is to hunt out some nice loot and challenge yourself against some of the harder mobs in the game.
Just seems to knock it out of you a bit when you spend 30 minutes battling one of these hard mobs and get 200 credits as your reward. You might as well hang round a starport and kill the random thugs and get 5 times that in the same time period.
Out of interest, If they have stopped NS biceps dropping, what is the justification for it? I mean it's hardly like it unbalances the game is it. My understanding is, that its just a piece of armour. I they were constantly dropping 2k damage hammers i could understand it.
Oh well, just another b0rked aspect of the game.

From what I have gathered questioning various SOE employees about it (although no specific answers) it is the same bug that prevented the tusken items from dropping.

This also compares with Krayt dragons dropping NOTHING AT ALL sometimes.

It actually looks like they further nerfed Nightsister loot. Me and another guy cleared the caves and stronghold the other day. All we got was credits, only decent thing dropped was an Energy Lance Schem, but that was off the queen. Then I went back yesterday, same deal, no loot at all though.

I killed the queen Ax... whatever her name is...today. Took me an hour. Kited her over to the Singing Mountain Clan base...only to find someone had cleared the place out cept for one med armor chick. With a constant vigil of intimidate and some help from my friendly Mountain clan sis...I got her finished off and looted a LVA with basically 70-300 damage, 5.0 speed. +25 block, +12 polearm damage, +8 terrain negotiation. But it was in crap condition. I try to repair it...fell apart. What a freaking waste of an hour. You'd think something that was 440k HAM could give me something that I didn't have to repair and become worthless.
Apart from that I have been killing spellweavers, protectors, and anything under elders for the most part like crazy for the past week. I have gotten some half way decent nightsister lances...today I got one 28-337 damage 2.8 speed. And I got 2 with high power mind and health posions with about 38% potency. I have also looted about 6 weapons with mods on them...most worthless though. Mainly I am looking for the nightsister layers and shards to make a good suit of RIS. I have only gotten a set of 4 8% layers, and somecouple sets of shards that were -17/-33/-19(x7) and -29/-15/-29(x11). I am still trying to find some shards that are 45-50 ranges and some layers that are 15% or better before I give up. I actually looted a +12 carbine accuracy while moving and +8 polearm damage skill tape...but I'd rather have some kind of experiementation one. Gotten tons of Heavy duty clasps and leather though. I guess most of the stuff I have looted was junk. The only thing thats keeps me going is hoping for the good layers and shards, or an occasional nice weapon. I can make about 70-100k off a buff by killing them though...so at least there is a little bit of money in it. Not enough to pay for the armor you go through though.
I figure I will give nightsisters another good hard week before I committ all my time to kill GDKs to get my scales for RIS. Someday I will find one...

with elders, i can understand why the loot chart is as is. the reason being IF you know what you are doing and are efficient, they drop fast, maybe 4-5 mintues max. in a 2 hour 30 mintue buff session, i kill at least 12-16 elders. now if i got good loot from each one i killed, and it was the same for everyone, then rare loot wouldnt be very rare anymore.
as a tip: dont use uber weapons and armor. use junk armor with 80% kinetic. pick your weapon of choice, get a crate of 25 sliced and take the best damage ones. get crates of powerups. and then go beat down nightsisters.
i will lose 5000-6000 condition per buff session on my chest plate, and my doc loses about 35-45 condition on her t21 killing an elder

I think the loot table on krayts is good. I looted 2 pearls from 5 juvs this morning.. however.. on Nightsisters and especially Elders the loot is crap. It needs to be sorted out as a mini-publish or something =) Ahem.. preferably between pubs 9 and 10

I got a bicep from an elder, but as posted I do not think that they can drop them anymore. I haven't heard of anyone getting the armour pieces from anything other than an elder, but thats just from the other people I know who have gotten them.

Alot of loot is bad right now. But I think it will be better. There are so much things in this game that need to be fixed. Sad they didn't check it out better before they gave it out. Anyway I think it will be better and i hope, if we give them time to work. But time is also money so...
