Spin2 really has no advantage I can see. Making it an area leghit would be reasonable. Giving it a different state effect (probably not going to happen) or making it a much higher efficacy for dizzy than area2 might also make it more desirable to use. Or just up the damage to a 3.5x modifier, obviously while moving PH3 to a 4x as well.
As for NS and state effects: I can't recall ever stunning one, but I've dizzied most of them at one time or another. It just gets harder and harder to get it to stick on the tougher ones, and when you manage to dizzy something like a spellweaver you probably won't manage to knock her down before it wears off anyway.

Spin2should be a heavy hitter move, no state effects...High Damage to all targets
Area2 should be low damage, but applies nasty states..Stun, Dizzy, Blind and whatever else

If we dont we need one. Tkm's are overpowered just because of that.
We don't have one move that handles KD and dizzy, but spin2 and area2 both do dizzy, and sweep2 is area kd...

I'd like an area posture change. Not a full KD, just a change. Something that would be unaffected by the KD timer.
Knock em down, they stand up, make em kneel. It wouldn't be spammable, but would work to keep groups from pounding us into the ground. A damage delay tactic. In a group of 6 bad guys, even if you could change half of them with every spin, it would do worlds in damage reduction.
I think Pikemen should be much more about controlling an opponent, as opposed to flattening him. It would be cool, if in combat (especially in PvP), Pikemen could manipulate the opponent. Not drop him in two hits, or be un-hittable. Just the ability to knock em down, stand em up, make em kneel. Generally push them around. Makes a lot more sense than the Fencer templates that you just can't hit. The DEVs are always hardcore about player interaction. This would fit nicely into that slot. Pikemen tie up the opponents, other classes take them apart. For the final coup de grace, we could smack em on top of the head, with a PH3.

btw u can dizzy and KD NS, i ve done it a few times
AND once a saw this cool move an NS protector did on me, it was using a VL and basically it was a wild swinging of the lance in a virtical direction switching it between hands and looked very very cool, and i am a master pikemanso i know that we cant do it....yet
