to say that dots are a crutch, you might as well say that slicing is acrutch, or buffs, or food/brandy/ armor whatever....
sorry but its nuts not to use every tool in your inventory if you so choose to.

Are you retarded? You don't seem to realise that because of all the leet kiddies joining pikes (yes i know my sig says im one but its only till i find a good damage pike
) and using dots, (which btw ARENT a pike speciality it just happens that dot pikes are more common as ns are the only dot weapon dropping NPC that spawn in a regular area on a regular basis) that the major problems with the prof (such as polearm hit 3, yes thats the one you never use as its not AOE, doing a posture down) are being totally overlooked?
The system is NOT designed for pikemen to be CM's with sticks, it just happens that all the cms have been nerfed and are now looking for a new 'i win' button. Its gone back to the stage where you have to have 3030 doc to compete in pvp again.
The reason he calls them a crutch (something you have clearly misunderstood) is because they are supporting (hence crutch) a broken profession and are likely to cause it to be nerfed further. Next time think about what you're saying before you post and i wont have to come walk all over it....

ok make it so a pikeman cant stack dots... but before they do pee on what fireworks we have left, make pikeman a proffesion that doesnt have to use them in the first place, unless u have a 1K+ dmg LVA u stand no chance.

Then discuss other things to help the profession. This thread reminds me of the tons of threads in the CM forum about how to effectively stack DOT's. The CM coorespondent even posted on it. Stacking DOT's should not be in game, and people discussing the finer points of exploiting this is not right.
Pikeman needs help yes, but teaching each other how to exploit isn't the purpose of these forums.
