Why this? I could only see this for mind hits and blast damage. that being the case, then why even have pike? You'd be better off subing master fencer then. to each his own, just thinking you are hurting defenses doing that. just wondering.

I'm happy with master pike/rifles, 2040 medic and some scout. I get both ranged/melee mitigation that way and a fair amount of melee defense and a big chunk of ranged defense, plus way maxed on block. I wish the state defenses were higher though, especially blind.

I use this template.

Master Pikeman

Master Brawler

TKA - 4/3/0/3

Fencer- 4/4/4/0

That lefts you with 18 skill points, which I use either for Novice Medic (when I do raids, corvette or tank for NS and such NPCs) or Novice Scout (when I make money).

Also, few notes...

This template is done "pre-FS". I am going to probably surrender one defense line, either from TKA or Fencer and use the left points to get the defenses to 125, speed to cap Pikeman and some melee accuracy.

Also, when I tank, I do it equipped with Fencer weapon, CoB macro and Dodge food. Pike is damage dealer in this template. Fencer is much moreuseful for tankingpurposes. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!
