Thread: Why are so many people pikeman? I mean, really why?

I like pikeman because it gives me a thrill to bonk things on the head with very large, very fancy, and very sharp sticks. it just kept ringing around in my head one day, and pistoleer was kind of losing its luster when i saw all the other profs in my group outdamaging me by about 5 times.....

I don't see alot of pikeman, what I do see is alot of 4/0/0/4 pikeman, just so they can use our DOT weapons.

you cant have a profession for a week and expect to know it in and out. When i mastered swords i was a biggg noob i only used area attack and 2handmeleehit3. I had it for about 3weeks i didnt know anything about it. I thought the only pro that could dizzy kd was tera kasi LOL.

I have it because i needed another melee profession. I like the idea of Dizzy knockdown so i got it. THERE is nothing like running into a pack of stormies and doing area knockdown, greatest thing ever.

I think it is because it makes you more uber if you have a less uber profession, maybe not. Also because people realized that stun weapons aren't at all good in PVP.

Im in it becouse the medium armor piercing and area attacks, and its nice animations. I just like it.
But I guess as you all say, on general terms people are in it for the dots.

This may not be the case, but it seems to me like we are starting to lose those Pikeman who picked it up just for the Dot.
I've noticed alot of people selling off their good weapons and skill attachments in the Auction Forum and that people no longer seem to be willing to pay the higher prices for them anymore.
I dont know for sure though. Anyone else notice this?
