Just my opinion, but I think that as long as the person that your fighting has a general understanding of pvp, it's extremely hard to win... With my 1064 max damage LVA I usually end up doing 40-50 damage per hit against 80% comp/intimidate/synthsteak which quickly regenerates leaving you back where you started.. On the other hand, someone unarmored/unbuffed/with no melee mitigation I can usually kill in one hit. Unfortunately you're going to be in the first situation a lot more than the second.

Im speed capped with a 1399 max unpupped LVA and it works nicely...

I think we're sorta missing the point here... I was trying to point out about how effective we can be using our role - a good pvp squad is prescisely that, a squad... It works together using the strengths and weaknesses of all it's members. Any idiot can grind out TKM in a day, buy some armor and food and be the king of duelling on thier server, but real pvp isn't standing in staports spamming for a duel, it's either GCW or Guild Wars... And, at least in my opinion, the team that wins is the team with the best tactics and discipline. This means learning to use the strengths and weaknesses of each class in your squad.
Every class and template has it's distinct advantges.
Mellee Stacked Fencer < Rifleman
Rifleman + Terrain Negatiation + Hill> Mellee Stacked Fencer
Similarly.... Pike Area KD + Rifle Strafe2 > 3-4 Opponents
It's not always about who can outdamage whom. In my opinion of course.

ok for starters how high dmg pike am i looking for to pvp sucsessfully?? 1k? i got an 809 dmg one now also what moves do u use... as PH3 is a posture change when do u use it... u cant use it on a KDed opponent as it brings em back up

My PvP tacktic is simple.
Dizzy with Mind Fire Pike
Posture Change with Mind Poison Pike (So the kneel)
KD with another Mind Fire Pike (they on the floor)
BURST RUN!!!!!
Spam HS3 with either Jawa or T21
They have NO! Mind in Like 30 seconds 
I Thank You, we are given KD's for a reason!! USE THEM, Heheh DoT's help aswell

Not really,
Warcry gets negated now as soon as you hit your opponent with another attack, practically useless....

No,
With a 700 max dmg LVA a tka can out dmg me, how do i know i'm also a tka, mitigation makes our pikeman weaons total crap compared to tka
Fencers get stun and ackley batons to raise min and cut through armor
Swords men can go straight for the head
Piekmen get dot lances, so use them or die
With a big pike, yes you can fight an unmitigatied openent and do well with out dots

You can do well in PvP against Ranged opponenets and most melee'ers without DoTs. Fencers (or anyone with high KD defense) and TKs (because of toughness) are gonna eat up your damage though.
As for the damage you want to look for...you obviously want a LVA (AP2) around 800-1000. I use a 1400 VL and a 1600 LVA very effectively in PvP.

Well, I was kinda poking fun but if we're gonna get technical it's always best to warcry when you open to give you a window to landintimidate with.
