If that doesn't explain why being loot and DoT dependent is bad, I don't know what will.

my problem with being loot dependent is that its totally the opposite of what the devs state, they mention that player created weapons will be more powerful than looted ones (with exception to the exceptional/legendary and such) but instead we have a whole profession that has to spend its time either grinding credits or hunting the same few mobs for entire weapons.

if it were just some advanaced componets that were realitive to the drop rates of say Krayt Tissues, Acklay Bones and such i would be much happier than having to try to find the one weapon that makes me great in pvp. Personally I am sick of having to use DoTs to gain an advatage but I guess thats changing in the combat rebalance when they un-nerf other damage type. Too bad publish 10 is far from here.

DoTs bypass armor, thus making them the ultimate PvP attacks.
It's a simple concept.

No **edit**. Thanks.

Exactly. This ain't EverQuest. I brought up previously adding better loot components for polearms, or adding a reinforcement core to the schematic to allow for Acklay bones. It still gives the loot hunters something to **edit** over, yet puts the Weaponsmith back into it. It's a little damn retarded that if I want good polearms, nothing I do involves my weaponsmith.

ok, i just wanted to add that its defenitly not fair to have to spend weeks in search ofweapons and skill tapesorgrinding for creds to buy these weaponswhile other professions just get the skills buy a weapon and kick pikemen butt...

then they decide to loot/buy great weapons or find they're "ledendary weapon" or whatever (while ours is insanely hard to obtain) and kick more pikemen butt...WTH!!!!!

lol did i do ok?? im a newbie

To sum it up quick: PvP quality DOT wepons are very hard to come by. Most people that go lance hunting at the NS POI's come back with the standard Health Disease DOT lances. To get a Mind Poison (or a Mind Fire for that matter) with 200+ strength and decent potentcy is very hard to do.

There are certain aspects of how our DPS is done that bothers us (delay modifyers, damage multipliers, that sorta thing) that forces us to find "pre-nerf" pikes, or looted pikes to be effective in PvP.

Whats wrond with being a loot dependant class: Honestly, I dont really care, I dont PvP that often. But the fact that any class is loot dependant should never even come up. I dont think its what the devs intened, but alot of things have happend that they didnt intend (soloing Krayt... still working on that one :smileyvery-happy

PS: Were you guys talking about me before?
