If you are fighting Jedi solo try and get a high damage VL (for better range mods) with a good dot (preferably -1uses)and use it the whole fight, that way they will be healing damage, states and the dot the whole fight and their force pool with drop very fast. Fire also works good against non master healers and remember not all Jedi have got the heal states skill so a dizzy then a sweep can put them on there back and keep them there if you are speed capped and use area2 to keep them dizzy and sometimes they won't ever get up.

Well there aren't guardians anymore, at least on my server but knights ain't too tough 1 on 1 even with dots if you take time to warcry and heal.

With a 1k lva I hit a jedi for 2100 damage, once a second. GG.

well I used to kill jedi with just fencer hiting the min pool exclusivly. now I konw about the def/toughness difference betwen the 2 but with the much uped damage from a good pike it hink u caould prob kill the jedi before they they run out of force with pike as well. dizzy with spin2 and action fire dot until both stick. warcry, change pike to high damage then kd or pd. actionhit2 then spin attack until they heal dizzy and hope for it to reapply (that might be a longshot),ones redizzed start leghit and when his/hers healing dealy has passed the jedi must most probably heal action instead of dizzy and with dot and constan pool damage they wont be able to keep up with healing. I am not sure wif this works with pike but it sure as hell worked nice iwth an acklay gaffi and fencer (not master brawler).

I'd recommend area2 as it dizzies and stuns, stun is a powerful defensive state.

Like it was said...dot's are unnecessary against Jedi. If your high-damage weapon has a dot on it, then that's just gravy, but if not, don't spend the several seconds to switch to it, hit them, and switch back. You just need a few things...


1 - High damage LVA. Mine's 289-1156.

2 - Template. Having defenses stacked sky high is really useful against a jedi. Dizzy and KD defense are obviously the most important, but Def. vs Blind is almost as important since our weapons have those horrible range mods (side note: Cap your accuracy if you're able, and when PvPing, ALWAYS eat Citros Snow Cake, the accuracy food.) Dipping into Fencer's state defense lines (-44-) is recommended.

3 - Healing. Unless you can 100% reliably get a Jedi on his back right away and keep him there the whole fight, you've gotta be able to heal yourself because even intimidated, they'll hit you pretty hard. Personally, the idea of PvPing with anything less than Pharmacology 4, +25 Wound/Injury Treatment pants, and my 40-med use, 1100 powerStim E's is lunacy...but something along these lines is definitely useful against jedi. Healing about 1500 damage with a click of a button is handy.


With that, it's cake.Get them on their back, and spam dizzy. Area2's chance to stun more than makes up for it's slightly lower damage modifier.


Basically, Jedi are easy enough to beat 1v1...any of the melee professions can do it, really. Its when they've got support that it gets harder...

im master pike/doc 4240 and fencer 0400 and i can usually handle jedi, not speed capped atm, that will help a lot, oh and i have a 700 tick health fire lance

I think any melee with alot of defenses and pharm IV at least. Fencer/tk/doc would be nice. or pikemen/fencer/pistol defenses/pharmIV would probably be good as well.

just got a new lva, 189-739, 4.0 speed (im capped, doesnt matter) with 106 mind poison, 62% pot, 57 dur, how would i do against jedi with it? i have a few action fires, so id stick them first

all you ppl's strategys sound somewhat correct, that is if your fighting a jedi thats not going to fr3. i suggest placing the stats on the jedi w/ your dotted weapon then once they're on the ground take out yer 1k dmg lva and spam area attack 2... its important to know that most high end jedi can heal dizzy when they're on there back, so keeping them down w/o spamming a dizzy hit can be very difficult
