WIthout a doubt the mindfire DOT is the ultimate pikeweapon, because if you have been tagged with a high strength, decent duration mind fire DOT..you might as well just bend over -- put your head between your legs --- and pucker up...because you are toast. I have been hit by a really strong one before by Mori, we were just goofing around, he hit me like twice and stopped fighting. I just burned and burned and burned....and then died. Plus with mindfire you cant be healing it. The only problem is that those are really kinda rare, the action and health ones are really common.

I rarely use DoTs, in PvE you don't need them, and by the time you switch weapons, stick a dot, switch weapons again you'll be dead if fighting a TKM/fencer etc.
Just pick another profession to do the dirty work, I'd say pikeman is best for killing high end NPCs, I'm a master pikeman/master fencer myself and I gotta say, no DoT matches my acklay stun baton

fire+a poison or 2+fd=you getting really pissed off, lol, i do it so much
