If it's made with a cortosis weave yes. Also there is alot of confusion about what happens when a lightsaber hits cortosis metal.
1. It turns off when it hits it.
2. It acts like a lightsaber and can keep blocking.
3. Or it can only block for a certain time and then it gets sliced though from getting worn down.
I'm not sure of the answer myself but I'm leaning towards number three. I mean.. just how long can a piece of metal withstand getting smackedby pure energy? I don't think it could be number one either, really, why would a blade of energy all of a sudden retreat into it's hilt because it touched some metal? The energy ina lightsaber is a neverending motion of energy circulating from the hilt, out to the blade, and back into the hilt. So even if the metal pushed the lightsaber out of the way there would be more energy to meet it. Unless of course it was in water, them lightsabers don't work there.

In the Zhan books, on the one planet, the Base was built on a foundation of Cortosis ore, which basicly causes lightsabers to short out and close down. Good reads if anyone is interested.
