Thread: Why Doc in your template?
If they respec for the FOTM, they will still suffer and lose. They still need to learn how to use the template and all the associated skills, there is no i win button on that template, it still requires thought and work.
If they cant figure that part out, well, then they are in fact doomed.

If you cant handle the massive damage from a jedi you will die ALL THE TIME, same goes for the root and shoot crowd.
I would really rather use the food buff to reduce the stim D timer to 30 secs but I dont think thats enough.
I did wonder about the Doc 0040 template so you can cure diseases and what not but I suppose you could just heal the damage those dots do and not worry.
So, I think Doc 4000 is key to any effective long lasting build, you might not Hit the hardest or have nice specials butyou will survive the longest and in the end outlast your opponent without doc.
If you have doubts, look how long jedi last in fights with their healing!!!!!
see thats why im reluctant to take 4-0-0-0 doc armour break is so damn handy to have, also by droping m.brawler and some of swordsman im loosing about 100 ranged and melee defence.

The answer is simple, you dont have enough healing ability to keep you alive.
I have honestly not lost one duel in over 30 since i respecced to my current template which includes some doctor healing abilities and im all melee other than those. Ive fought every non jedi profession combo just about, without a single loss and am on a 50/50 win/loose with jedi knights. I can assure you that without my heals this would bea very very very very different story in 50% of those battles at least.

After doing some testing for 3 hours with the addition of 4000 Doctor, im very impressed with the results...coming from a former TKM/Doc, the style is almost similar....and i play it primarily from TKM
It wastough giving up Armobreak & some extra melee/range defense, but with the addition of Infusion & bacta shot it's very sweet exchange indeed.

Yes i'm now convinced of the Template: Master TK, Master Pike, Doctor 4000 - great Tanking ability
You still get a basic version of armor break (sticks maybe 1 in 4 times).With impale and leghit, the loss of critical hit isn't so bad.
I've been going toe to toe with Jedi Knights with this template. Sure I can't kill them (due to their incredible healing power) but I can keep them occupied for a good 5-10 minutes. And afterall, isn't that the role of a good tank?
With this template, I've been using my katarn knucklers because I haven't gotten a pike yet with similar damage output. Plus the 75 action cost is very nice. Coupled with brandy and vercupti, you can fight a long time before worrying about your action pool.
