Thread: Why Doc in your template?

If you are lvl 80 you can use the Stim Ds for 1200 points of healing, whats the point to doc? If you are TKM you can Powerboost for an extra 600 hit points.


I dont understand why you get Doc, I must be missing something.

You can use 1 stim every minute , or every 30 seconds if you have Ruby Bliels (although i believe these are slightly bugged atm).


Docs have Bacta jab , Bacta shot , infusion , we can buff your mind/health/action , give you an extra 40 combat speed , rez you etc. etc. Doc also counts towards your combat level and has defences and armour mit built in.


From the group hunting i have been doing since the CU it's pretty clear to me that for high end stuff you need a Doc or CM or Jedi healer with you. The timers on the personal stims don't seem to keep up with a sustained assault from a tough group of mobs.


Personally i was a Doc pre-CU for the independence it gave me out in the field but i have found it to be just as useful in these new group friendly times.

The same posted asked this question on the tkm boards also i belive, where he also asked why it is he cant survive against ranged players using root to keep him at bay.


The answer is simple, you dont have enough healing ability to keep you alive.


I have honestly not lost one duel in over 30 since i respecced to my current template which includes some doctor healing abilities and im all melee other than those. Ive fought every non jedi profession combo just about, without a single loss and am on a 50/50 win/loose with jedi knights. I can assure you that without my heals this would bea very very very very different story in 50% of those battles at least.

What would be the best Doctor skills to pick for correct buffs and healing.

If I drop swordman skills and Master Brawler and keep Master Pike/Master TK...what could I add?

I am stuck at work...

ok, if i master TKA and Pike (or Sword) i only have enough for one 18 skill points of doc, what is the best use of that?


Emergency medicine or Patheology or a combination, thanks

Try TKM,Master Pikes, Doc 4000.


CoB and Improved Bacta Infusion enable you to tank all kinds of stuff. I soloed the Arena with that template.

Very popular temp is TKM/Pike 4000 Doc. If you use this temp correctly your damn near unbeatable in a1 v 1.


COB + Stun + Intim + Infusion + Bacta Shot + 1m Stim = Damn hard too take down period

Why not Master Pike/TKM/Doc 0004?


Or do you need 4000 for better healing?


Since MTK has innate armor, what if you stock up on enhanced healing clothes and use 1200 point stim d's?


0004 does seem very sweet for the buffs.

In a fight with either a Jedi or a Ranged person that knows how too stay out of your range 0004 isnt gonna help you too much. Any fight lasting over 2 min your gonna die.

Yeah, Im thinking Doc 4000 is teh win!!


I really would like to take the armor break and crit attack in Swords


or the Snare and blind in Fencer but......


If you cant handle the massive damage from a jedi you will die ALL THE TIME, same goes for the root and shoot crowd.


I would really rather use the food buff to reduce the stim D timer to 30 secs but I dont think thats enough.


I did wonder about the Doc 0040 template so you can cure diseases and what not but I suppose you could just heal the damage those dots do and not worry.


So, I think Doc 4000 is key to any effective long lasting build, you might not Hit the hardest or have nice specials butyou will survive the longest and in the end outlast your opponent without doc.



If you have doubts, look how long jedi last in fights with their healing!!!!!

Buffs don't get more powerful the higher you go in Doc, they only get longer lasting. For duels you can add just as many health points with Medic 4000 as you can with Doc 0004.....


4000 Doc gives you increased healing ability you can use during a duel or any kind of fight.
