Thread: Why Pikeman arent getting fixed..
I haven't been signing on hardly at all lately...for the past month I've only been on a handful of times...
This is rediculous that they haven't fixed this yet.

i am so sick of missing so **edit** often. its not right a novice fencer should be able to spank a 2nd tier pikemen in 3 sec. and i think i own the record for consecutive misses (12). i was killed by a light blue swooper.

I normally don't get involved with any petitions, but pikemen really need some help. Pikeman is one of the elite classes I was looking into, and if it gets some improvements it can be great.

Which, in some games, where things work OK but just need tweaking, that's OK. But we know that's not the case here. Good luck, I hope the proposed melee defense changes really boost you guys/gals.

You know I've posted all over these boards about how bad it has become to be a pikeman and I am reading people repeat the same problems over and over. Forget all that, here is the main thing........I'm just not having fun anymore.
Plain and simple I'm just not having fun playing this game.
Is anyone listening?

and make the fix soon , i just switched to rifle becasue cant hit broad side of barn with my big stick i will keep the pikemn skills as long as i can but not holding my breat we all know CH will get beefed up more before they fix anything else

I agree w/ all of these views but just to put in my 2 cents.
-Special costs are way to high! I've read through other threads and some people said just fix accuracy and it be okay, but it wouldn't, not when you have ranged combat professions' special cost half of ours and just as potent.
-Accuracy/Weapons-First point is that the few weapons we do have are wack the accuracy suck as any polearm/pikeman know. I mean I've been incapacitated multiple times by enemies I shouldn't have been. I(or better yet we) miss all the time yes when we do connect it hurts them pretty good but at the same time, by the time you hit them once your already pretty much dead and if that one hit doesn't kill them your goin to cut it close. My next point is our weapon selections, you look at all the other combat proffesions or teir have more weapons than we do and I know there are more types of polearms/pikes out there that you can think of, so in you dev center/test center how about you add in some weapons to add onto so when you add in mounts and vehicles you can throw in some more pikeman weapons.
-Range?? I have heard some people say we should be able to hit 3-5m away and if we get close we should have horrible accuracy and if they are far away of course we should. The range is fine as is we just need the better accuarcy, we shouldn't miss that often we should hit like 2 times for every miss for the most part. I mean we can reach up to 4m and i can say our accuracy should be at the best at 4 okay at 3, and somewhat bad at 0, since these are poles to use the axe blade they can't be right in front of you if you want to be able swing nice and hard and hit them with it.
-Concerning Mounts- I agree w/ a post I read about us being able to use our pikes on mounts and be deadly w/ them as well as defending against them and I totally agree, but I think we need to introduce a new types of pikes, such as the style where it had the pole of course and a blade at the top like a mashetie(spelling IK), and then one w/ an oversized spear head. I'm sure there are more styles out there they could implement.
Well thats pretty much all of the major points everyone is making just outlined and revisited w/ my 2cents added in.
