Pikeman have received almost nothing in regards from attention from the devs. We ask 10 question, every response was the same, "Combat Pass"!?!?! All we really want is something specfic, just one thing. What our they planning?

I swear you all **edit** more than a house full of old maids.

Thunderheart has already stated he doesnt have details on the combat change and he wont. I am sure they are still NOT known as it is going to be introduced little by little and change accordingly.

You don't need to bring such vulgar to the thread. Pikeman has only recieve 2 changes that I am aware of since launch. The +30 accuracy and the -30 range off LVA ect. Every other profession hasnt gotten atleast 4 times the changes we have gotten. I am going to continue being a pikeman and please don't come here thinking were a bunch of old maids because we have been so **edit** patient, but yet they still blow us over.

1) I understand that (They are very cool). I doubt the actual Royal Guard uniforms could be added for continuity concerns, but I will ask if either they or something similar can be added.

Do you realize how RAPED the word CONTINUITY is/has been?....By Devs, by players, by people who don't know what they're talking about............Do you ralize how the word CONTINUITY no longer applies ot this generic Sci-Fi game???.....
And finally, most importantly, what the **edit** do you mean, you'll ask them?........We expected you to take these questions to the Devs and get their response, and then write it down as answers to the 10 questions...... From the sound of it, you just read the question yourself, had a personal hopeless feeling, and gave us this sad pathetic excuse for a reply, letting us know you're, ABOUT, to ask them, attached with your personal despaired opinion.

2) The Force Pike is in the game isn't it? (or something similar? I just worked with Gunman21 to get the stats adjusted as well). (Translation: Are you guys stupid?...You guys don't know aaanything about your profession do you?.....)

Your answer to our question..........IS A QUESTION?!?!?.......
"Well I looked into it and discovered that the "Basic Lance" is 'describeable' as a Force Pike. Obviously this isn't what you guys are pushing for or it wouldn't have been part of the 10 questions. Please have your correspondent forward me details of what you meant as a Force Pike (Since I don't read Pikeman forums/In Concept) so we can regain productivity to this question." Is that response too well spoken??? Is that too many letters to type???....It took me ALL of 30 seconds to make up this bull**edit** of a dream answer........

3) The Pikeman focus is to further defining the role in combat, getting the moves balanced and giving them a role in the GCW.

The focus is to further defining the role in combat, getting the moves balanced and giving them a role in the GCW. (The most obvious beat-around-the-bush, copy+paste answer I've seen in quite a while)

I want to stress that Pikeman is a Hybrid Profession - - it isn't meant to be played is "Im a this and not that" or "Im a Warrior and not a Cleric".

Bitter rant mode: "I'm a Warrior, you're a warrior........but I'm 3 times the warrior you are because I don't use a weapon, and have the ability to do to myself what Clerics can do to others, all at the same cost as you." : End Bitter rant mode

SWG professions are meant to be mix and match. Pick what you want.
The dev team doesn't want players to get tied down wit hthe idea of being a single profession. The game was designed so players would have a greater customizability with their characters.

4) I suppose it is ultimately, but not on purpose. It's more of a question of this is a big game and a lot to develop. The devs genuinely want all professions to be fun and desireable.

YOU TRY TO FEED US THIS BULL**edit** A WEEK OR SO AFTER ANNOUNCING MAKING A CHANGE TO THE JEDI PROFESSION???......**edit** YOU is all I got to say......do you REALLY take us for such **edit**in idiots??? You want us to believe THAT ANSWER???......... Should I even bother to point out how much of an ignorant answer that is???.......You insult us with how stupid you think we are.....that's 2 insults already all in the same thread.

One of the things I want to do is work with you to help define that. The combat pass should really help to improve the profession.

5) Well, Im sorry, but "these will all be addressed in the combat pass" is all I have now. HAM, speed, defense, etc is all part of the combat system.

I'm helping SOE pay this guy?!?!?........Did he even take this question to the Devs???.....Such an insolent answer.............
"I have asked the Devs to give me a detailed list of the changes that will take place for Pikeman but the Devs are as of yet reluctant for a detailed ANYTHING for ANY profession. It is yet impossible to gauge what changes to what profession we are considering that will also make it through Test, and eventually Live. Once we get closer to Patch Launch date (exact date still undetermined) we can make an accurate bullet-list of all the changes to Pikeman, as well as the rest of the professions."
Took me about 1.5 minutes to cook up....*sigh*

6) Well it is something I have raised wit hthe dev team and I wont actually know until that portion of the combat balance is complete. Then ext big change will be seen by everyone (yourselves included) is the HAM upgrade. This is a very big item and the team will watching to see how this effects play.

The only decent semi-professional attitude answer. Thank you.

7) This is a tough call. I am hoping that you all have put your suggestions in the In Development thread.

In other words, I don't exactly know what you're talking about, and I don't want to spend the time to help you guys by understanding and COMMUNICATING......so I'll just brush off this question too, I got more important things to be doing........Just leave your thoughts at the In Development thread........AGAIN...........

8) No I wouldn't agree that you have low toughness modifiers per se.

States, "I've never been past Novice Pikeman, but I will still argue and say you guys are perfectly fine the way you are."

Maybe this is a misunderstanding about what the combat balance is. There are a bunch of Big data tables that drive the combat system. This data is plugged into how everyhting works. The numbers on these tables will be balanced so that combat is fair and equitable in terms of speed, defenses, etc. This combat balancing process will cover that. It will be important however to get onto Test Center when the balance is done and get feedback.

How are you giving us a direct, yes/no answer when you keep telling us you don't know any details?........You tell us you don't know yet how we will end up after the combat pass, yet you tell us our toughness is going to be perfectly fine?.......Are you a TKM???.....

9) Again, this is the main focus ofthe combat balance - - it will address these issues for the Pikeman, the Carbineer, the pistoleer professions, and all of the combat professions. That is why it is so important.

We also sked WHY it's like that, not just if it's going to be fixed. Well..........?.....WHY is it like this?......Regardless of what is going to happen (Which, we still don't know) we still want to know what the reason for handicapping our highest level skill is.

10) Everyone rates equally. We want this game to be fun for everyone.

Understandable......

We have here an unmistakeable proof that Thunderheart IS a Pikeman!

Easy target. Perfectly controlled situation.

10 straight whiffs.

Any questions?

I believe Pikeman may have been the profession to be considered or answered to last(Not saying that that's a sign of neglect, because out of the 4 ONE of us has to be last), what I am trying to point out is TH might've been all tired and pooped out...........because if you read all the other answers for the other professions, they are all in full, PROFESSIONAL, and much more respectful manner...........and then there'sPikeman's answers............Maybe it's because TH couldn't find a valid, "Wait till the combat pass" excuse for themin his notepad so he was forced to think about the answers..............

I hate to compare like this, because it makes me sound whiny, but dammit, IM WHINEY RIGHT NOW SO SUE ME.

I believe what he meant when he said that we are a hybrid profession is that, we, with Pikeman alone,it'san 'of-course' thing that we cannot surive on our own....that Pikeman are meant to be paired with other professions in your template to become a normal class........

What he is saying is, Pikeman are the only ones out of the 4 melee elite professions that are purposely underpowered and broken because our skills are meant to be backed up with other profession skills.

While TKA/Swordsman/Fencer/Pistoleer/Rifleman/Carbineer are all viable combatants even if you only master one of it, Pikeman are intentionally 'capped' so it fits with the original design of not making players feel that they can only master a single class.

I am a Master Pikeman/Master Brawler.............I have mastered 2 cummulative combat professions........Yet I find it difficult, if not impossible, to defeat halves of a single elite melee profession...even lower for a TK.........
