Thread: Can anybody actually use knockdown, then another hit?
Tried and tried, can't get knockdown and then any other kind of hit, before the creature or npc gets back up and wails on me.
Anyone else with this problem?
No you can't do that. The combat que added to the target is also added to you rendering the move completely worthless unless you might chose to heal.
Or it could be that the delay after using a kd is the same delay on your weapon and speed mods don't have an impact and you have to wait the raw weapon speed to do another move, although all specials I believe don't take into account speed mods and are based off raw weapon speed.
Well, before the kd timer I could say that I can. Kd is no longer good unless you really want to get the attention of that tusken warlord under attack by 10 ranged guys and 3 or 4 pets... believe me, it gets their attention everytime you knock 'em down!
At the earliest, i usually start the second attack in my combat list just as the thing i am attacking starts to get up. It also seems to be based on the creature type/level. Some get up right after i knock them down (makes knocking them down not really worth it). Butsince the patch,i have yet to start my next attack when they are laying on the ground.

i'm not sure this works against creatures anymore, but if dizzy still affects them, this is what you can do:
Non-Master Pikemen:
dizzy, KD
Master Pikemen:
PolearmHIt3(they're kneeling)
Dizzy(make sure it lands)
KD
sometimes they'll stay on the ground dizzied for a long time.
PolearmHIt3, a position change, definitly does not create a KD timer. You can hit them to kneeling and then knock them to prone.
No no no. KD adds a five second delay to THEIR combat queue.
i'm a pistoleer, and I can attack fairly quickly after pistolwhipping (although there is a delay since it's a special move)
Hit after KD? Sometimes, yes. Sometimes, no.
If I use my lance that has been sliced for speed, I can get one hit in after KD about half the time.
Depends on what I'm fighting as well....
Does polearmhit3 --> dizzy --> KD even work? Because polearmhit3 counts as a KD/posture-change cuz it is a posture change move. All I know is before I got rid of my pikeman, if I queued up a few polearmhit3 in a row, after the first one it gave me that message that my kd/posture change won't work or timer **edit** or whatever it was, so I don't see how it would allow you to KD so soon after doing polearmhit3.
I'm sure against creatures and npcs that my polearmhit3 to kneeling, allows me to knock them down later. I've done this every battle now =P just about. I haven't goten to do it in pvp..because they tend to die too last , it's hard to get a good fight like that. I have been able to get in hits before they get up, after I knock them down. I am a master pikemen, however, so my speed bonuses may be enough to push taht over. All styles have a style delay, so doig a knockdown does delay your next hit, but it's not 5 seconds.

Read the patch notes, or test it yourself. Using KD adds an artificial (unseen) 5 second timer. It was part of the "Kd fix".
When u Kd a Npc/Player u dont have a 5sec pause IN YOUR queue.
Stop roll eyes and go try the move.
For the the thing postur down/dizzy/kd it would work (never tryed that bcs i havnt dizzy yet) bcs u can do a lunge then a kd.
