Thread: Baz Nitches Are the Way to Go

After reading a few threads in this forum I've finally found the easiest way (for me)to gain XP. I have approximately 2 million more to go and I can do it in about 24 total hours. I'm currently a 0-2-2-2 (almost 0-2-2-3) in Pikeman.

Here's what I found to work best:

1) Get doctor buffs (all 6 stats)
2) Get a lot of muon gold in crates (Smugglers make it)
3) Get a lot of Angerian Fishak (Master chefs make it) and use this to counteract the downer of the muon gold.
4) Only get Neutron Pixie if you think you won't need muon gold, but you cannot use both at the same time. Doctor's buffs are better.
5) Head to dathomir (I went to the Science Outpost) and get the 11k giant baz nitch missions
6) If you are a creature handler, then you have it made. Simply use one creature (I used a Gaping Spider Hunter) and tank both baz nitches. Only 2 spawn at a time.
7) Do not use armor unless it doesn't hinder your regen rate.

I got about 4100 XP per baz nitch and about 4000 XP for the lair. As someone stated in another thread that's approximately 28,000 XP per baz nitch lair. Which if you do 3-4 an hour, can be 84,000-112,000 XP per hour.

I was previously doing Piket Longhorn missions on Dantooine. Those only yielded 3000 XP per Piket and 4000 XP for the lair. Granted there were more pikets but it is almost the same amount of XP per lair. I find that taking on 2 aggro-ing giant baz nitches is easier than the 3-4pikets, and a bit faster.

This is my first holocron profession and I would like to thank everyone who has helped on these forums because this is a real tough profession especially with its problems and takes quite a long time. I admire the people who are doing it for their own gratification and not for the holocron.

Thanks again!

Oh jesus...I'm trying to actually help benefit the profession by helping the people who are legitimately wanting to utilize this profession and that's all you have to say? Well that's the last time I even bother. Go have fun you resentful, hateful person.

sorry for the double post, and also I am sorry for you misunderstanding me and that I see my choice of words should have been better. It's thank you for posting that you have completed the master title by killing a lot of chickens, and it's good bye because I assumed you would move on to your next holocron and a new profession. Good luck getting Jedi because you will need it, and that is a fact.

and hateful and recentful? where did you get those? oh well

I'm sorry then too as I took it to mean that you think all holocron people are twinks

I'm nowhere near mastering pikeman. It's one of the toughest professions around. Not only because of some of the problems, but also because it takes quite a long time to level up. For the real Master Pikeman (the ones who will keep it), it's a huge accomplishment and I admire them.

Sorry for being so mean, but that's just the way I took it.

nice!!! you are on Radiant server too!?! We got a city on Rori: Barsoom right south of the city EdgeNoir(we got a battlefield seperating us: The Rori Rumble), and we should go hunting some time once I get back online. Send me an Email inGame if interested, or at least send one to Rawook'Tk so that he can put you on his list over pikeMen of the Radiant server who is dedicated to their profession

If you ever stop by the city of Barsoom, stop by my and Rawookt'Tks houses

Its understandable to take those comments the wrong way, most people are quite sarcastic on the boards, you will find though on the pikeman board that most are very nice and helpful.

Another comment I would make though is that if you really want to grind xp fast, Huurton Howlers, Huurton Matrons, Huurton Huntresses, and Huurton Stalkers are the way to go. They range from 3500xp to 4900xp for me (grouped with a droid is all) while I am at 4/0/4/3. As you progress the biz natches will give less and less xp and are much harder than the huurtons. With our bleeds I can take on 4-6 of these and by the time I have the third killed I can spin attack and kill the others, it is great. (I am fully buffed and armored with no pet out to tank and steal my xp). On dantooine Imperial Outpost (even rebels can go there if they are covert) get 2 huurton Howler missions to the east, on your way to them you will likely hit about 3 or 4 spawns of various huurtons, when I get lucky and find a lot of howlers or stalkers I can get 150k xp an hour, though I think I average 100k an hour.

I imagine either way works, my way is less money, but in my opinion iseasier.

I will certainly look you up, but I haven't decided if I'm keeping pikeman yet It's still up in the air for me. I really think that certain things need to be fixed for you guys who are putting up with it (like missing half the time when fighting).

What I'll probably do, is after mastering pikeman, I will look at what the holocron says next. If it's something which I'm not willing to do (say, bounty hunter), then I'll probably keep pikeman and use my secondary character. I'm interested in trying out the FSCS, but it's not an obsession for me Just a passing interest so I'm giving it a shot.

In the meantime I will try my best to support the efforts of everyone in this profession as it needs a lot of support.

Thanks!

Thanks for the advice there. I will definitely give it a try. I'm currently 0-2-2-2, almost 0-2-2-3. I've tried the huurtons and never seemed to get good enough xp, but if you are getting 100-150k, that's definitely worth it. I'm in no need of money so I'm definitely looking for easier ways.

One question, should I start to go up the stances instead of the offense tree?

Thanks again!

Be sure to be grouped with something and unless you need CH xp leave them at the fort. And also the regular huurtons are pretty worthless unless you are inbetween spawns, they give about 1k xp is all.

As for the stances vs offensive line choices: I went for the speed bonuses, and I feel it is well worth it, though getting leghit2 would have beed nice as well, so maybe get the first box of offensive and then head up the stances.

Good luck

I have to disagree. My XP from the baz nitches actually increased as I gained more pike skills. I started out at 4-4.2 with pet. I finished pikeman today getting 4.9-5.2k/kill. Yeah, waiting on shuttle for mos espa to train master as i type this Pikeman does indeed suck; ironic that it would be my holo profession being i was a novice pikeman during the first month and dropped it for bh.
