Thread: Pikemen abandoned again by Dev's

So, no combat pass coming, leaving us unfxed once again. Again and again SOE demonstrates their inability to manage a game. Pikemen has issues identified at release such as HAM and accuracy that remain unchanged to this day.


Oh and thanks TH for getting back to us when u promised, NOT!

Well, he did say that correspondent issues would be done throughout, so we'll just have to keep those going and being pushed.

What I'm working on, and I suggest other hardcore pikemen to do as well... get a Pike character on TestCenter. They said that they will be doing major FIXES so let's get some good people out there and test the hell out of our profession. If we do it while publish 8 hits test, we have a better chance of getting fixed if we have people dedicated to it on TC to see this whole thing out.

Anyone else with me?

If you call the measly +15 range mods on our weapons a change, you're on glue.


Those changes were a drop in the bucket of what we need.

i am really content with the accuracy of pikemen(not impressed but content) since the patch. Not only did we get 15 or so extra accuracy but stackers lost 100 melee defence so that helps : )

I am not a rifleman who uses a pikeman tag to decieve his opponents, I am not a holo grinder who wears his pikeman tag as a testimemt to the pain he has gone through grinding. I am not a pikeman who has mastered another combat proffession to support my offense, I will not degrade my pikeness in this way. I am a master pikeman. That is who I am and who I want to be.

I'll tell you something. One of my friends was grinding some medic xp. So a master fencer friend and myself decided to beat the hell out of each other to let our other friend heal us for xp. We were both fully buffed at the time.


I used my LVAs, my VLs and even my damn basic lances. Trying to hit her was an exercise in futility. I must have missed somewhere around 90% of my shots. The ones I did land were for low damage. She had no armor mind you.


In turn, I blocked maybe 1 out of 15 shots. Every other one landed ... hard. I know my block works because I block like a fiend fighting nightsisters. Sometimes I seem to be constantly blocking. Against my friend .. nada.


Now you try to tell me that our accuracy is fixed with a discrepancy like that. Its an absolute disgrace when I can change to a weapon that has +7 range mods and still miss most of the time.

My point wasn't that it fixed accuracy, itwas they did change something for us, wheras the poster made it seem like we hadn't been given anything at all.

And from your description, it sounded as if they person you were fighting had a stacked template. That affects accuracy more than the modifiers do as far as I can tell from my experiences in pvp. Even with +0/+33/+0 mods, I still miss quite a lot against stacked templates, whereas I hit most of the time vs templates that arn't stacked.

No stacked template. Master Fencer/Doctor. This was a few nights ago as well. Not before the defenses nerf.


I don't have this kind of problem in PvE. Only in PvP.

Well, I dont know why you stay and complain. I did that for several months untill I canceled two of my accounts. (|Still have this one to see and verify the wisdom of leaving)


If you want change, petitions and submitting ideas dont work. You need to log off, install a new game and play that game and never look back. That is the only way things will change.


You are trying to communicate with a rock, its impossible. You have to come to the realization the game is broken and will never get fixed. You can't teach a Chinese speaker how to speak English while using nothing but Chinese. You cant teach a blind man to see!! That is how one can describe the developers. They dont see the problems, they see you, (the customer) as sneaky and devilish. You only want to "unbalance" the game in your favor. That is how they see it, not as a bug or problem. You cant win. They dont nor will they ever understand. You need to change their outlook and the way they think but that is impossible, it goes back to teaching English while never using English.


By the way, I pre-ordered LIneage 2, cant wait to get into the open beta, you can keep your character upon release too. YAY.


There are lots of good PvP players from Ahazi that are in the beta now, I plan to hook up with themhopefully they will put together a Clan to dominate the world. Cant wait till we get dragon mounts that will actually FIGHT with us and not be CL 10, lol. Besides, the dark elves are so hot!!!
