Alrighty then...

For those that aren't aware, there is a Knowledge Base for answering questions about various SOE games available here:

Knowledge Base

I have been hounded by the CSR in charge of the project to check the accuracy, usefullness, consistency, etc. of the entries related to the Ranger profession.

I'm sure there are a couple members of the community that might be interested in running a few queries through the system and seeing what results you receive. Queries about things that you might be interested in, or a new player would be interested in finding out.

They areinterested inerrors in any of entries related to Ranger, out-of-date information, just plain incorrect answers, things like that...

If you feel that there is an question that should be in the Knowledge base, provide the question and the answer and I'll forward it on to the Man.

I'm not really finding too much about rangers there at all. Most of what I could find was through searching using the term scout instead. Only slightly inaccurate info I found was on pulling vehicles, pets, and droids in camps, but that doesn't change until next publish anyway. Still, there is not a lot on scouts/rangers in general on there, specifically no mention of conceal or camo kits.

You're right of course. I found the sum total of one entry specifically relatedto Ranger.

I'll take your query about "conceal" and "camo kits" as a request for such a Q&A on such... Want to write up a guide on /conceal?

You want something as overly simplified as the rest of the things on there?

How do I use conceal as a ranger?

To use conceal, you must have a camo kit for the planet you are currently on in your inventory. Type /conceal, and you will apply the kit. This will hide you from creatures for about 30 minutes, or until a creature sees through it. Additionally, you can apply conceal to other players who are not rangers. Simply target them and type /conceal.

Thanks! I was thinking of adding somethingabout using it from the radial menu of the camo kit in your inventory as well, but I wasn't sure if that worked or not, since I use a macro to apply conceal when I actually use it over maskscent.

FWIW, there is no radial menu option to use a camo kit. You must use the /conceal command.

That sounds like more of a general crafting question, than one specific to Ranger.Other schematics also require planet specific ingredients (advanced medical components for instance).
