We may have the worst speed modifiers, but I'm ok with that. It's much better than before, and not all professions are supposed to be fast attacking professions. A lot of it depends on your full template now, so if you want more melee speed, you'd pick up a melee profession that gave it to you

Look at the chart. We have no advantages. We are either average or crap.

But there really is more to it than just these numbers in this chart, though I have issues with the way several of them work out...Pike has intimidate and warcry, skills no one else has, for example. TKA doesn't look like it is super defensive from this chart, but it is in fact going to be the most defensive non-Jedi profession because of other aspects.
Of course, that doesn't mean that there aren't issues to be looked at as seen in this chart.

Just playing devils advocate here....
Besides, I've never used intimidate and warcry, never had to. I know I'm going to have to change my play style after the CU.
TMD : Total Melee Defense (MD+SD)
TRD : Total Ranged Defense (RD+SD)
TS : Total Speed (MS+SS)
TA : Total Accuracy (MA+SA)
TMD TRD TS TA
Pikeman 150 120 70 150
Swordsman 135 110 90 195
Fencer 125 95 90 145
TKA 160 130 90 145
Hope I got that right. Now we see we're just behind TK in 'tanking', we have slowest speed for whatever reason, and are better than Fencer/TK but behind swordsman for accuracy.
Also, as has been mentioned, weapons/specials will probably play a big part in your overall strength.
As far as I know (general) melee defense/accuracy/speed will stack for each profession you have, then you add in the specific defense/accuracy/speed for the weapon equiped to get your total.

- Glad to see Antares is still here and pushing out the numbers like he always has. I don't know anyone in any other profession that has pushed out stuff like you have for the Pikeman profession.
- Excellent work on getting all the numbers together to see what they look like on paper
- Hope these numbers don't play out as bad as they look (or hoping, like will probably happen, that they get some modifications before launch)

Traps are used in combat, you need to kill critters to get scout xp from harvesting until exploration 2 at the bare minimum where you could use maskscent to gain scout xp by evading combat. Camps are used after combat to allow people to heal up and prepare for their next encounter with the wild.
Fairly combat orientated imo, just not a primary combat class but an effective class in PvE never the less.
Antares, thanks for putting together this info, very helpful. Now all we need is a list of all specials, now that's a mamoth task
I'd have looked up all the ones I want myself but I'm waiting on my new PC, this one is dead as far as gaming is concerned![]()
