Could someone please explain to me what stun does? I now have a single target and area affect stun and I have no idea if either of these is worth using. Thanks.

well acording to the prima guide stun causes offencive and defencive penalties to a target but i never noticed anything when i use it or when it gets used on me. /shrug, maybe another thing that needs fixed.

removes a combat round from target as well as the above stated (small) penalties.

in the game it says you are supposed to lose a round of attack.. but it stays on for a while... so do you lose multiple rounds of attack or just one.. if just one then it's pretty pointless.
I also noticed being stunned stops you from performing certain activities... if i remember correctly i couldn't set camp when i was stunned.. nor unequip a weapon... but those might just be bugs

you lose the first initial round. afterwards, the penalties stay as long as you're stunned. That's what I believe is happening anyway.

am sure we have all been stuned before but do any of you remember missing a round of cambat? or the mob you are attacking missing a round? just seem to me thats its broken because with as long a delay between attacks as there is for a pikeman i would think you could notice a missed round.

I've never noticed anything either. Come to think of it, I've been stunned and was able to continual attacking normally. Must be broken, or maybe it just gives you minus' ...

it also makes you not be able to peace, or to sit down, other then that, i see no real point, just use polearmhit2 or polearmhit3, cause they do alot more damage, and they stun, instead of the stun moves

As I understand it, Stun causes your opponent to loose a round. Okay, neat. My question is, what difference does it make on targets whos attack speed is lower than yours. Example, all the other brawler classes, mobs, Pistoleers etc. Theres no point to it.... Or am I missing something about it?

the point is that they lose a round, thus their next attack will be similar or slower than yours.

Except for the fact that specials usually increase the time for our next attack.

If they are attacking 3 times faster than you but are losing one of every three attacks, then they are still doing 33% less damage than they normally would. What don't you understand?

and don't forget the fact that our class is the slowest....so yeah they loose a round, big deal, they get three in the time we take one....
