also, i have done all the mele proffs, and pikeman by far is the hardest one. you need real skill to do it. there is no macro making here. this is going to be intresting.

lol i havent had it for even 2 hours yet. it doesnt have dmg as good as my pike that does over 951 dmg. but it is alot faster and (tell me if i am wrong here) but i use my NSEL to get the stats on them then switch to the dmg one when there dizzy/kd. oh and by the way i am lookin for some speed tapes. let me know if you have some. i have FS speed so far. so i am alot faster than a regular pike, but not fast enough. i

Well, I've got a few tapes on my character right now.. and where'd you get your NSEL? I've looked all over and can never find one.. must be 'cause no one wants to put them on vendors.. I even tried to get one at the Silver Taps auction. >_<

i prefer to use area 2 instead of spin 2,
2 reasons
1) Spin looks alot cooler
2) area does dizzy AND stun, as opposed to just dizzy..............

The single greatest flaw in the pikeman profession is the skill Hit 3. It is a posture down attack. If you use a KD or posture down attack after a target is already postured down OR KD'd then that target will stand back up. The best way to get around this is to use hit 2 or spin 2 (the one that does dizzy, cant think of it at the moment). This will continue to damage them and not pop them up. Hope it helps.
they stand up? not for me...

yep i tried it and it is pretty dmging. the only thing is polearm 3 clearly does tons of dmg. so what i would do is wait till they get real low on life then start useing 3 to hit big chunks off real fast. pikeman takes skill, period, and i have lots of practicing to do. i also have a cool Night sister energy lance. it does good dmg, and is fast. i guess i need to practice from here.

You're wrong. No doubt you've been misled by the website whose name I will not name.
Spin2 has a 2.5x damage mod, 3x delay mod.
Area2 has a 2.75x damage mod, 3x delay mod.

This was added not too long after launch to prevent people with a kd move from having an /iwin command.
Previously you could spam a kd move and repeatedly kd them so your target would never have a chance to fight back. Then changed it so that any posture change hit to a kd'd target would make them stand back up.
As to keeping them down you have some options, either hit /area2 to stun & dizzy them before using /sweep2 to kd them. Then carry on with /area2 to deal the damage while they're kd'd.
Alternatively, if you have a high damage polearm you can /sweep2 then /hit3. Since you do 50% more damage to a kd'd opponent you can often kill your targets in 2 hits that way (seeing 12000 float above a nightsister's corpse is always funny).
