Thread: I need 10 questions to ask the devs
We need to have oneasking what istheir vision of our place in combat, their vision of our speciality and relation to other melee'ers. Think that is too broad, or they have no clue themselves?
I'd be interested to hear if our low population affects the order in which we will be worked on.

being a salesman, i should warn you that you should ask open ended questions. meaning, don't ask questions that can be answered with a yes/no answer. otherwise, you might be disappointed with some of the answers you will receive.

i'm not too sure. i'm still sorta new as a pikeman. i have the same gripes as everyone else (HAM costs, accuracy, horrible dps, etc) and would really just like to know if these will be fixed. i became a pikeman not to be some uber beast in pvp or pve. i did it because i was tired of seeing all the fencer/pistoleer, riflemen/tka, heavy swordsman/whatever else people out there jumping on the newest flavor of the month. pikeman was something that very few people on my server are by choice. i think legwand, marshall creed, and shuut are the only ones besides me and one of my guild members that actually wanted to become a pikeman. i wanted to be different. that and it looks cool

so, here's a thought maybe we should ask them how we should keep up with the other melee professions in both pvp and pve when we are outperformed in every aspect by any of the other melee professions.
for example, we have area attacks that will knockdown and dizzy. this is good as when things are kd'd they take more damage. therefore, when we use our area attacks, the mobs will fall faster. but it doesn't matter when a heavy swordsman can use his area attack and hit for about the same, if not more, damage at a much quicker rate. also, fencers have an area attack that blinds. it also hits for high damage. they can get about 4-5 of those hits out before we get our second.
so, lets take on a single mob. we have a single knockdown, we use it. we warcry it. great, now its down for 10-20 seconds (depends if you have master brawler or not) then you smack it with polearmhit3, our most devastating move. oh great, you just tried to change its posture, and now its back up again. meanwhile, the tka is spamming unamredhit3 and has hit the mob about 9 times.

1) Do you the (dev's ) see the pikeman profession as a good well rounded class and if so, Why?
2) Do you the (dev's) feel the pikeman class does need some tweaking, if so how?
3)Do you the (Dev's) feel that low speed and medocre damage and low melee protection isbalanced for the pikeman profession. if so, why?...if not comment on furture changesthat specifically affect pikeman as a profession....
4)Do you the(Dev's) see pikeman as anything else other than a stand in front of the MOB so others can shoot it..kind of class. if so comment on future content specificaly for pikeman..( example) mission terminal or npc missios that ask the pikeman to gaurd / escort a diplomat or something of importance, to and from a specific location..
