Very cool class IMO (for a melee hehe)

I'm about half way through it, and I get alot of respect from my groups for my ability to tank. (or maybe its just becasue I can master doctor buff the rest of the group)

Would I keep it if I weren't holo grinding? No, I can't play a melee class in the age of blasters and such. In the old days of UO maybe so, but not in thesepokamon galaxies.

As far as a melee class goes, two thumbs up.

Only 2 of the last 8 people I've trained were genuine Pikemen. The rest were sentenced by Holocrons.

No offense to the holo-pikemen trying to gain their Jedi abilities, but this does get tiresome. Pikemen are such a rare class, thatnow whenever I meet a new pikeman... their first response to my greeting is cursing about how they are forced to play this profession. I was thrilled to see a new master pikeman today, and when I asked if she would like to be added to Rawook'th's Brotherhood of the Pike list, she said "Why bother, I am probably going to drop it with the next holocron". It makes me as a pikeman more bitter about how sad this profession really is. But I still love this class, and the changes in the last patch along with my own advancement have made things a little more bright...

All of the people I've trained in pike recently have been holo-pikemen, and it is indeed frustrating when the only joy they get out of training up to master is that of completing a required profession and not polearmhit3 or increased defense and speed. In their defense, all of the onesI have trained have shown increased respect for those of us who play full-time pikemen and a greater appreciation of what is right and what is wrong with this profession. I try to think of it as, the more people who know anything about us the better. On the other hand, the fact that people are only taking up the profession because a holocron tells them to should set off some bells with devs.

I am a holocron pikeman, but I was hoping for this profession above all others, because I find it fun, just that it needs work, and I'll probably drop carbineer instead of pikeman when I get my next holocron.

I am a former (still recovering) Bounty Hunter Addict. I dont have enough fingers and toes to count the countless hours in Beta and Live I have spent grinding investigation experience to have a holocron tell me to basically start over everything I have done since live and start a completely different class and path.

Someday, I will have the last laugh Devs.

Pikeman is only a bad class if you come from a ranged weapon class, oh and also the three is screwed up why do thy bunch all the speed and accuracy mods zero thirty zero thirty for acc and zero fifteen zero fifteen dumb if you ask me try ten ten zero ten and make each box satisfying to get

That is the question I ask to every person I see holding a Polearm Weapon......And I just wanted to share with everyone that, out of about 5 that I've seen, only one is a real Pikeman.......Damm Holocron........

Hate to break it to you friend, but I am to be joining the group of holo-pikemen starting today.

In other more enlightening news, I was a pikeman in beta at one point. I'm no newb to the prof.

I just hit Novice Pikewoman last night, Non - Holo!! Woo! This is purely my choice and mine alone. I make my own destiny *grin* I must say I have been reading the Pikeman forums for about a week now, just didn't feel like I should post until I actually got Novice, hehe. I am very excited about becoming a Master Pikewoman, and I do get thrilled when I actually see a non-holo Pikeman. So far all the ones I've met, which is .. 2. Have been very kind and very helping. Hmm.. guess there really wasn't a point to this post other than introducing myself, and saying Long Live the Pike men and Women!! You guys have spirit, heart and courage. Lord knows you have to have it to even be a pikeman(woman).
